Look how they've changed! Young Nicole Kidman, Kylie Minogue and Russell Crowe are unrecognisable in 'Before They Were Famous' footage

They're three of Australia's biggest A-listers.

But newly-released footage from the National Film & Sound Archive reveals a young Nicole Kidman, Kylie Minogue, and Russell Crowe long before they found fame and fortune.

A new collection of Before They Were Famous footage shows the stars like you've never seen them, years prior to Hollywood blockbusters and chart-topping hits that would make them household names.

From geek to glam! Classic footage from the National Film & Sound Archive shows Australia's biggest stars like you've never seen them before, including Nicole Kidman (pictured)

Kidman, a teenager at the time, is unrecognisable in a scene from the 1985 TV movie Winners: Room to Move.

The Oscar-winning actress, now 49, sports a shock of dark red curls on her head while her facial features are remarkably plain.

These days, The Stepford Wives star is known for her sleek, strawberry blonde locks, plump pout, and eerily smooth visage.

Time has been kind: The Oscar-winning actress, 49, now sports a plump pout and sleek strawberry blonde hair, leaving her unrecognisable compared to her former curly-haired self

More easily identifiable is a 17-year-old Kylie Minogue in the 1985 TV series The Henderson Kids.

While her outdated hairstyle would likely leave the pop princess cringing today, her face looks the same with the exception of her smaller pout.

However, the star's voice has certainly changed compared to the posh London accent she speaks with now.

Diamond in the rough: In the flashback clip, the unsophisticated teenager sounds far more Kath & Kim than Moulin Rouge

Red hot! At 48, Kylie is still one of Australia's sexiest and most sophisticated stars

Last but not least is a baby-faced Crowe, who had yet to blossom into the manly brute we know him as now when he starred in the 1989 government video Manager on the Case.

The Gladiator star, now 52, was actually in his mid-twenties at the time, but looked far younger than his years.

Not a boy, not yet a man: A baby-faced Russell Crowe was years away from the manly brute we know today in a 1989 government video Manager on the Case

From Injured Employee to Maximus Decimus! The now 52-year-old has come a long way in his acting career since his humble beginnings
