'Anything he can do, we can do better!' Bikini-clad Stacey Solomon mounts her shirtless beau Joe Swash's back as they attempt to recreate Larry Lamb's impressive squat feat on I'm A Celeb

Larry Lamb impressed I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! fans with his physical prowess as he performed squats with Adam Thomas on his back on Monday night.

And now it appears that the 69-year-old actor has some competition in the form of couple Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash, currently in Australia to host spin-off I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! Extra Camp.

In a video uploaded to Stacey's Instagram account on Wednesday, a shirtless Joe says: 'Anything Larry can do, me and Stacey can do better! Come on girl!'

A bikini-clad Stacey then leaps onto her man's back, exclaiming 'what a man' and 'he's so strong' as Joe performs a pair of shallow dips.

And, not to be outdone, Stacey then declares: 'Now it's my turn! Come on Joe,' as she gamely leans forward for her man to mount her back.

Unfortunately her efforts prove to be less successful, as she's seen repeatedly saying 'oh my god' as she struggles to stay upright shortly before the video stops.

Competitive: At the start of the video, Joe explained that they were carrying out the task to prove that they could do it 'better' than I'm A Celebrity.. Get Me Out Of Here's Larry Lamb

And they're off! Joe managed to perform two squats as Stacey cooed: 'What a man!'

Larry's efforts were a tad more impressive, as he was able to carry out 10 squats with fellow contestant Adam on his back.

The veteran actor was praised for his impressive strength by camp mates and fans of the show on Twitter - before he was later voted in as Camp President.

The scene began with the campers huddled around the fire, talking and sharing stories of their lives and upbringing.

Moving on to the topic of fitness, comedian Joel Dommett admitted that he wanted to try squatting with one of the fellow boys on his back.

Feeling confident, Emmerdale star Adam Thomas then stepped up to the plate and put himself forward to squat with Larry on his back - who revealed he weighs 100kg.

Bending down with the Gavin and Stacey actor as resistance, the 28-year-old could not even manage one repetition without falling back on to the floor.

It was no doubt acts like this, along with his admirable saving of Scarlett on Sunday night, that scored him the position of Camp President - as voted for by the public.

In a new feature on the reality show, viewers were given the opportunity to appoint a leader in camp, who will delegate all jobs and have the final say in all camp decisions.

The camp mates then had to predict what order the public had voted - and it seems they too knew Larry was the favourite, as the first decision they made was to place him at the top.

Scarlett was appointed deputy, and the pair then assigned jobs for each camp member.

Lisa and Jordan were given chef duties, Ola and Sam were in charge of washing up, Adam and Joel were appointed camp cleaners and Carol and Wayne were put on camp maintenance.

Despite her authoritative role, Scarlett admitted that she was not too keen on the power and was going to leave smooth running of the camp to big boss Larry.

She laughed: 'I’m just going to be really easy on everyone. If anyone hasn’t done their job I’m going to have to make sure Larry tells them.'

I'm A Celebrity continues on Wednesday 16 November at 9pm on ITV

Bow down: Scarlett was appointed deputy, but admitted that she would let Larry take control, laughing: 'If anyone hasn’t done their job I’m going to have to make sure Larry tells them'
