Based on the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, Hairspray Live! takes place in 1962 Baltimore.

The story follows teenager Tracy Turnblad living in Baltimore in the early 1960s who dreams of appearing on a popular TV dance show, The Corny Collins Show.
Against all the odds Tracy scores a role on the show and becomes a celebrity sensation overnight.
The live production is set to air on NBC on Wednesday December 7.
