Purrfect day! Maggie Gyllenhaal wears cat coat to celebrate her birthday with daughter Gloria

Maggie Gyllenhaal celebrated her 39th birthday with a fun stroll with her daughter in Brooklyn New York on Wednesday. 

The talented actress prowled through the streets in a playful cat coat with little Gloria, 4.

She added a print skirt, bright fedora and thick black boots to her eclectic fall look.

The 40 Days and 40 Nights actress tied her brunette locks into a messy bun as she went for a stripped back make-up look.

Her daughter wore a pale pink dress, stripy black and white tights and a puffy purple jacket over the top. 

Maggie has another daughter, ten-year-old Ramona with Peter Sarsgaard, who she has been married to since 2009.

Her husband Peter is also an actor with a pretty impressive acting résumé.

He will star in the 2017 film Escobar, directed by Fernando León de Aranoa, that follows a journalist who strikes up a romantic relationship with notorious drug lord Pablo Escobar.

Javier Bardem will play the infamous Pablo Escobar while Penélope Cruz, his wife in real life, will play Virginia Vallejo.
