Kate Mara and Jamie Bell were perfectly matched as they attended the premiere of Past Forward.

The lovebirds embraced classic fashion go-tos for the stylish soiree presented by Prada at the Hauser Wirth Schimmel Gallery in Los Angeles, California, on Tuesday night.

We love Kate's sense of style; both her effortlessly cool off-duty attire and when she's turning up the glam dial on the red-carpet.

The actress certainly dressed to impress at the premiere of Past Forward, wearing a funky LBD and platform heels.

We adore her leather and velvet sandals by Prada that are pleasingly on point for the season. Velvet is coming back in a big way for Autumn/Winter so these platforms are perfect for getting involved with the trend.

For the event, Kate reached for sartorial staple, a little black dress which had a twist.

The 33-year-old wore a dress which featured a high neck and a tulip skirt created thanks to a drawstring on the hemline.

The actress paired the dress with a bright red clutch which coordinated perfectly with her red lipstick.

Adding a touch of this season's biggest trend, the Fantastic Four actress wore a pair black and red velvet platforms.

Complementing his love's look, Jamie wore another wardrobe classic - a sleek black suit - and added a patterned tie which had a hint of red.

Kate and Jamie met and fell in love while filming of Fantastic Four, which hit theatres last year. While the movie was a flop, their relationship has flourished. 

Jamie was married to actress Evan Rachel Wood but the couple split in May 2014, 19 months after they wed.
