This is the adorable - and extraordinary - moment a wild polar bear pets a chained-up sled dog in the Canadian wilds.  Polar bears weigh 330-990lbs and can easily kill a dog, especially one on a chain. But this footage, shot by David De Meulles of Manitoba, shows the bear gently stroking the placid animal on the head. 'I had no idea what was going to happen, and then sure enough he started petting that dog, acted like he was a friend,' De Meulles told CBC. I just so happened to catch a video of a lifetime.'

The man was texting his girlfriend Jackie while she was away on a 'solo' trip in Atlanta, and she began to strip for him before taking a shower. That's when he saw the unfamiliar striped suitcase in the corner of a picture. The man demanded Jackie give him her room number, and then found out the room was under her boss' name.

Her glamorous appearance comes just three years after she was pictured emerging from a dental clinic in Las Vegas, make-up free and being pushed around in a wheelchair (pictured right). Miss Easton (pictured inset in 1980) has had a career that spans four decades and she has sold over 20 million records worldwide.

A fast-moving object spotted flying by the International Space Station moments before its livestream went dead has conspiracy theorists claiming NASA is covering up proof of a UFO. In the footage from the ISS channel uploaded to YouTube by user ColdPyro , a white speck can be seen emerging from the darkness just above Earth's horizon. Right before the 'UFO' travels out of view, the feed cuts to a grey screen, followed by a statement asking users to 'please stand by' due to technical issues.

A Brooklyn actress committed suicide during a modeling trip to Peru, authorities said on Thursday. Lisa Lynn Masters (left in 2004 and top right, with husband William Brooks) was found dead inside her room at the Nuevo Mundo hotel in Lima shortly before midnight on Tuesday, Peru 21 reports. Employees at the hotel had found the 52-year-old dead inside the room's closet, official said, after she'd hanged herself with her skirt. Masters has had roles on shows including Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (bottom right), Gossip Girl and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.

Eagle-eyed viewers have commented on contestants wearing huge coats, scarves and gloves when they are fired (pictured, right) by Lord Sugar. Last week, Rebecca Jeffery, left in a trench coat and a scarf. But during the tasks they are often dressed for summer as they rush around. Twitter users took to the site to question why, if the show is filmed in the summer, do the contestants the insist on wrapping up when they are kicked off the show (inset)?

A new breed of cats, the Bengal, is causing havoc among British moggies. Bengal cats (pictured, right) were first created in the U.S. in the 1970s, when a scientist named William Centerwall cross-bred domestic cats with the leopard cat, a wild animal found in the jungles of South-east Asia. Now they are terrorising domesticated cats (left) in Britain. Phillip White caught one of the beasts on video (inset).

Majella Donoghue, 30, was on her way back from Cape Town where she had been to pick up her ring with fiancée Barry Doherty. She became ill on the flight and was picked up by an ambulance at Heathrow Airport, London, but later died in hospital. Barry posted a heartbreaking picture on Facebook (pictured, left) with the words: 'Our last photo. She was so happy'.

A six-year-old autistic boy burst into tears during his school's Thanksgiving play after a teacher snatched the microphone away to stop him saying his line. Heartbreaking phone footage captured by the boy's parents, Kent Squires and Amanda Riddle, shows their son, Caleb, looking visibly distressed on stage. Caleb was playing a turkey in the production at Nutter Fort Primary School in Harrison County, West Virginia, and was ready to say his line, 'gobble gobble'. But he did not have a chance to speak and was instead seen screaming 'Oh no' when the teacher took away the microphone, before sobbing in front of the audience.

Joe Stewart, 17, was found at his house in Inverness on Tuesday night, less than a couple of weeks after Joe Junior died at the age of just four weeks. He leaves behind his 18-year-old partner Allanis Stirling and her other son Connor, aged one. The trainee decorator's older brother Shaun paid a heartfelt tribute to his sibling, who had lost his newborn son just 28 days after his birth. The proud father had uploaded a photo of his newborn son on social media, showing the youngster inside an incubator at the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow. In the caption, he beamed: 'I would like everyone to meet my beautiful wee boy Joseph Cyril Stewart.' However the youngster, who was born on October 7, would encounter severe abdomen and intestine problems and died in hospital on November 3.

Weather warnings have been issued across the UK as wintry storms are set to sweep across many towns and cities, bringing with them hail, sleet and snow. The Met Office has warned temperatures overnight are set to plummet to a freezing -6C in some areas, including Scotland. Overnight, wintry showers hit Greater Manchester sparking havoc on the roads for rush hour traffic. This comes after a tornado ripped through a holiday village in Wales yesterday, destroying chalets and caravans and leaving scenes of 'absolute carnage' - and the extreme weather is set to continue into the weekend.

Melania Trump and Barron (pictured together) stepped out of Trump Tower for a lunch outing on Thursday at Serafina in NYC, leaving behind the president-elect who is hard at work on finalizing his cabinet for the White House. The new first lady was spotted sporting a chic, knee-length red coat that was draped around her shoulders. The billionaire's only son with Melania also looked casual, as the youngster wore navy blue pants and a sweater, with a white collared shirt underneath.

Amid the social unrest following Donald Trump's election, actor Tom Hanks has reassured everyone that 'we are going to be all right.' During a tribute to his career on Tuesday night, Hanks used the occasion to address Americans' concerns following the election in a stirring 10-minute speech. The 60-year-old star sang Schoolhouse Rock and even quoted Bruce Springsteen as he encouraged the country to move forward. Hanks made his remarks in front of a star-studded crowd during the Museum of Modern Art Film Benefit in New York City that paid tribute to his career.

A 27-year-old drug dealer who admitted to having sex with a dog will await her sentencing behind bars. Jenna Louise Driscoll  (pictured left and right in court and, inset, in 2014) fronted the Brisbane District Court on Friday after pleading guilty to bestiality and three drug-related charges in August. But Driscoll's sentencing has been reserved after a judge said bestiality acts were 'repulsive and goes against order of nature', 9 News reported.

More than 20 people have been injured, five with serious burns, after a fire at a bank in Springvale, in Melbourne's south-east. Early reports say that a person set themselves alight inside the building. Ambulance crews were called to the scene at 11:30am on Friday. Paramedics are treating people for burns and smoke inhalation.

A 'vertically challenged' grandmother from the US has accidentally fallen head over heels into her grandson's cot when trying to put him down to sleep (above). The hilarious incident was captured on a baby monitor camera, and saw the woman using a step to try and lean far enough over the cot railings. However she goes too far and falls headfirst into the cot.

Polo-playing Mr Vestey (inset), a close friend of Prince Charles, was the younger brother of beef baron Lord 'Spam' Vestey, and was confined to a wheelchair after he suffered a terrible hunting accident in 1984. Mark's wife, Rosie, was previously a girlfriend of Charles in the Seventies. Hundreds turned out yesterday for the service at the Church of St John The Baptist in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

As well as their quite liberal view towards clothing, the tribe are also well known for their unique practice of self mutilation with tribe warriors wearing huge hoops through their noses.

The appalling video taken inside an eighth grade classroom in Baltimore shows the white female teacher calling her mostly-black students 'stupid' and 'idiots' who are destined to get shot. Baltimore City Public Schools spokeswoman Edie House Foster said in a statement Thursday that the science teacher at Harlem Park Elementary/Middle School was fired after the video was posted to Facebook by a parent of one of the students on Wednesday. The video has been viewed online more than one million times and has sparked shock and outrage from the foul language used by the staffer. At the end of the video the teacher is heard saying: 'You have the chance to get an education. But you want to be a punk a** n****r who is going to get shot. You're stupid.'

Christine Peggrem (right), 52, from West Moors, Dorset, had complained of abdominal pain for weeks but put off visiting her GP until it became too much to bear. The maths teacher was later admitted to hospital and diagnosed with bowel cancer last month. But just two weeks later, doctors revealed she was terminal and had just weeks left. Mrs Peggrem and her partner of 32 years Clifford (left), 51, decided to finally tie the knot in an emotional ceremony at the start of the month. However, her health rapidly deteriorated and she died at home with her husband by her side earlier this week. Mr Peggrem, who met his wife in 1984 (inset), regrets her not seeking answers from her GP earlier and has warned others not to ignore any cancer-related symptoms.

The Hurricane was one of the many attractions at the defunct Boomers! theme park, which is now falling into disrepair in Dania Beach. The ride, which  opened on November 1, 2000 stands at 3,200-feet-long and 100-feet-tall, and when it opened the ride was the largest wooden rollercoaster in Florida. It is thought the costs of maintaining a wooden rollercoaster in Florida's warm climate have led to its closure, combined with not enough people using the ride.

Brazilians beloveds Paulo Gabriel da Silva Barros and Katyucia Lie Hoshino (pictured) became the 'shortest married couple' with a combined height of 181.41 cm (71.42 inches). The pair tied the knot eight years after meeting on social media, marrying outside St Thomas' Hospital in London. 'We hope our new record will encourage the world to look past the physical differences in others and understand all people should be treated equally,' they said in a statement.

Deni Kirkova, 25, from London, top left working out, tried a preview of a new gym class called Flatline, which has been hailed 'the hardest workout in the world'. Flatline is thought to be so tough, and potentially deadly, that a hired cardiologist complete with medical kit, stand-by stretcher and oxygen masks is present throughout the class in case of any emergencies (bottom left). The University of California swapped out the mechanical parts in a humanoid for helium balloons and a pair of twig-like legs. BALLU or Buoyancy Assisted Lightweight Legged Unit, has actuators in its feet and cable driven knees allowing it to walk, hop and even dance without falling over. Its light weight design also lets its walk downstairs, across a thin wire or on water with ease.

An LA-based model has bared her birthmark in a series of stunning photos to show 'imperfections;' are what make you beautiful. Paige Billiot, 24, featured in a lingerie campaign for Curvy Kate, the port-wine stain on her face accentuated with gold glitter (left and right). A pregnant zoo keeper have found a unique way to show how big her unborn daughter is week to week by posing with a range of animals that weigh the same as her baby. Jennifer Dew, from Ohio in the U.S, found apps that compare babies to fruit and vegetables confusing, and decided to do her own comparison, posting the photos on social media. So far she is 34 weeks and has posed with a rat (top left), turtle (top right), cockatoo (bottom left), and bushbaby (bottom right).
