Cate's got cleavage! Ms Blanchett flashes her assets on Ocean’s Eight set as it's revealed her old friend Matt Damon is making a cameo

Cate Blanchett has always had a stunning figure, but she's never been one to flaunts her curves.

That appears to have changed as the 48-year-old Oscar winner was seen flashing her cleavage when in costume to star in Ocean's Eight, which was shooting in New York City on Thursday.

The photos surfaced just after it was revealed her The Talented Mr Ripley co-star Matt Damon would be making an appearance in the female crime caper that also stars Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway and Rihanna, among others.

Cate wore a low-cut, very well fitted burgundy vest that revealed her bare chest. Gold necklaces dangled and a black scarf was tied around her neck, making her look like an outlaw.

Black coated jeans hugged her toned legs and  were accessorized by a gold buckled belt.

The star also had on a longer maroon scarf and the same grey and black coat she has been wearing on set for weeks.

Short burgundy boots looked well worn and gold-rimmed sunglasses added a touch of glamor.

The actress was walking alone on a street in New York with her blonde locks blowing on the wind.

On Wednesday it was revealed by Damon, who starred in Oceans Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen with George Clooney and Brad Pitt, that he would be making a cameo in the new all-female spinoff.

He talked to Entertainment Tonight.

Cate and Matt also worked together on the 1999 caper The Talented Mr Ripley, directed by the late Anthony Minghella and based on a novel by Patricia Highsmith.

Blanchett played socialite Meredith Logue and Damon was Ripley, a con artists who craved an upper crust lifestyle.

He flirted with her to help people believe he was trust-fund kid Dickie Greenleaf, who he had murdered at sea.

Also in the film were Gwyneth Paltrow and Jude Law.

George Clooney will also reportedly have a part in Ocean's Eight as Sandra's brother who mentors her for her heist.

It has not been confirmed if he will have an acting role in the movie, but it is known that he is producing the caper along with his Smokehouse banner.

The movie will be released on June 8, 2018 by Warner Bros.
