The mother-of-five looked more than happy to be given the big task as she beamed for her fans in front of the display, and even pulled funny faces at them.

Feeling the chill more up north, the blonde ensured she was well protected from the cold in a chunky but stylish black coat, which cinched in and flattered her middle with a waist belt.

Opting for casual-chic for the occasion, the singer sported just blue jeans and a jumper underneath, but added knee-high brown leather boots for an extra bit of height.

Sweeping her blonde tresses into a ponytail, the Cheshire native then styled the hair at her crown into a bold bouffant quiff, giving the look a more old-school feel.

Finishing the look with a printed grey scarf and a heavy set of false lashes, the star looked comfortable and content as she happily greeted her awaiting fans on the city streets.

Kerry happily signed autographs and took photos with fans and the mayoral party, before excitingly pulling the light switch itself with British para-equestrian Sophie Wells.

The mother-of-five headed to the historic Northern town to turn on the lights with her fellow panto cast - as she gears up to star in their Christmas production of Cinderella.

Kerry will play the role of the Fairy Godmother in the show, which kicks off on December 5 and wraps in the first week of January.

Wrapping up warm in the freezing weather, the ex-Atomic Kitten star covered up her impressively slim physique showcased during her holiday to Abu Dhabi last month.

... Go! She then excitedly pulling the light switch itself, as the leading lady of the town's 2016 panto, with the athlete by her side

Cladding herself in a skimpy blue bikini for the sun-soaked break, the star's line of surgical tape beneath her bottoms was visible to see - after she admitted she had undergone 'a s**t load of lipsuction' to achieve her goal body.

Kerry has already spent over £15,000 on cosmetic surgery in the past and recently embarked on more liposuction and a 'mini tummy tuck' in a bid to improve her body image.

Upon announcing her latest procedure, she wrote to her 428,000 Twitter followers: 'Well I’ve been recovering from having a s**t load of lipo!! #dontjudge!! 5 kids and all!! And a mini tummy tuck!Just a kick up the a**e x'

The post was followed by a tweet which read: 'Don’t wanna be the fat cat in the kittens! can’t wait to get back in gym!!.'
