Queensland woman, Jenna Louise Driscoll (left), who pleaded guilty to having sex with a dog, believed to be a pitbull terrier (right), drug trafficking, stabbing a woman with a fork and biting a child, was left sobbing at Brisbane District Court on Friday after she was told she must await her sentencing behind bars. Judge Terry Martin said he needed the weekend to consider sentencing the 27-year-old while taking into account the public shaming she has endured.

The Portugese woman said she was 'distressed' by her boyfriend's killing and feels deeply sad for his family. It is not known whether Ms Baptista was at all aware of her lover's chequered past, but friends of the couple said they had been dating for 'some time' before his murder. Barbaro, 35, was understood to have been living with Ms Baptista in Sydney's south. The young woman's mother lives there too. Barbaro tried in vain to run for his life before he was executed with a shot to the head at about 9.40pm on Monday.

Pascal the puppy was found near an industrial estate in Turkey where the four-month-old dog was left fighting for his life, covered in glue which had matted his fur and left him riddled with disease. Shocking CCTV footage has revealed the horrific moment a woman was attacked by a man who mugged her as she filled up her car. In the terrifying video, a man is seen waiting inside his white Mazda as he waits for Dollvy Van Luyn, 27, to pull up at the BP petrol station in Perth in her white Lexus. After Ms Van Luyn gets out and starts refueling her car, the hooded man jumps out of his vehicle and brazenly opens her driver side door. The victim tries to grab hold of the attacker as he snatches her backpack, but he turns and smacks her in the face. Making a break for it, the man punches the Ms Van Luyn again and runs back to his car as she lies in the floor in pain. Ms Van Luyn took to her Facebook to show pictures of her injuries after the attack.

The viral clip (pictured) showed an enormous polar bear stroking a lounging dog on the head inside the Mile 5 Dog Sanctuary in Churchill, Manitoba. Days later, one of the sled dogs in the area was eaten by a bear. Conservation officers were called to remove three polar bears from the site after one of the animals attacked and ate the sled dog, CBC reported. The other two, a mother and cub, were moved along because the bears were being fed and the female's behavior was also becoming a concern. Charlie Ladoon, who runs the Mile 5 Dog Sanctuary, said the dog that was killed was chained up at the time. Ian Stirling, an adjunct professor at the University of Alberta, said that Ladoon's dogs should not have been on chains for their own protection. He said the bear was likely just hungry.
