She revealed her slimline self earlier this month after dropping 20lbs in weight. 

And Drew Barrymore clearly felt comfortable to get back into her bathing suit in public at the weekend as she spent a day at a health retreat, cleansing her skin and practising yoga. 

The 41-year-old actress stripped off on the beach with pals in Tulum, Mexico, on Saturday, evidently not dressed in her favourite swimwear because she had been covered from top-to-toe in mud for part of the afternoon.

She showcased her slimline physique and flat tummy in a bikini-style top and tie-dye shorts. 

The results of her hard-work had clearly paid off, as the E.T. beauty looked toned, tanned and full of energy as she frolicked in the waves. 

Make-up free, the beauty looked youthful and carefree as she enjoyed spa treatments at the resort.

It looked like the health-conscious star was staying on the straight and narrow with a bikini boot camp at the retreat. 

She undertook a yoga class before getting stuck into a more grueling work-out.  

The Miss You Already star also covered her skin with a healing mud, before washing it off with the waves.

Drew said earlier this month that she shed tears losing 20lbs and dreamed of tucking into fattening food.

The blonde beauty told Us Weekly: 'I've been very disciplined and all I did was cry and dream about pizza. I still am dreaming and crying about pizza.'

She explained to the publication that she dropped the weight whilst filming her new show. 

'I was 144 and now I'm 124. I did it on the filming of a Netflix show [Santa Clarita Diet].  I feel really great. I followed Kimberly Snyder’s methods, but I added some protein like fish and chicken since she's all vegetarian or vegan.'

She assured Us that she won't be missing out on the imminent holiday season treats, despite dieting.  

'The holidays are coming up, so I'm going to enjoy some of that stuffing!' she told them.  

Drew has stayed friendly with her ex-husband, Will Kopelman, and revealed the former couple will spend the holidays together.

Despite their divorce being made official in August, the former couple have remained on good terms for the sake of their daughters, Olive, four, and two-year-old Frankie.

So they will all be spending Christmas together before going off in an 'adventure' in a hot country.

She told Page Six: 'Most of the family is going on this big adventure trip and our kids are just too young, so Will and I are going to do something fun with them.

'We have like three sets of different Christmas plans ... and then we're going on this adventure. It's going to be really nice and I'm going to a warmer climate, so I'm excited.'
