Viewers gush over Amazon's Christmas advert that sees a vicar and an imam strike up heartwarming friendship (but is it really better than John Lewis' offering?)

Amazon Prime rolled out its new tear-jerking advert on TV this week. The short film follows a Christian vicar and a Muslim imam - and is meant to convey a message of 'selflessness'. And viewers were clearly touched by the clip, taking to social media to gush about it, with Twitter user Milhouse writing: 'Amazon Christmas advert hands down won it this year, proper love it.' Secfrancis tweeted the retailer directly to say she was 'extremely impressed' with the advert and its 'beautiful message'. While Twitter user Han enthused: 'THE NEW AMAZON PRIME ADVERT WINS THE AWARD FOR THE BEST CHRISTMAS ADVERT HOW AMAZING IS THAT.'
