No slowing him down! Matthew McConaughey stays in fighting shape during solo jog

He's had several films released this last year, so no doubt Matthew McConaughey was more than happy to get back into a routine on Friday. 

The 47-year-old was spotted keeping his body in fighting shape as he went on a brisk jog through Malibu. 

Matthew was totally tuned into his earbuds as he hit the pavement, clad in a yellow USA shirt.

The bearded Wolf Of Wall Street actor rocked a black hat backwards, sunglasses, shorts, and a pair of Nike trainers. 

The Oscar winning actor was clearly giving his workout his undivided attention as he jogged up an incline.

Matthew has been busy lately promoting his new film Gold, which also stars Bryce Dallas Howard.

CNN reports that the actor said at a screening for his film earlier this month that he put on 45 pounds for the movie.  

He ultimately reached 217 pounds.

'I was getting pretty d*mn fat as Kenny Wells,' he said, according to the website.

'I was an all star in my family, nicknamed Captain Fun during that time because I was yes to pizza night, every night and it was cheeseburgers and beer.' 

Gold will arrive in cinemas on Christmas Day. 

Matthew plays Kenny Wells, a man who comes across a fortune in the Indonesian jungle. 

The movie also stars Toby Kebbell, Edgar Ramírez, Corey Stoll, and was directed by Stephen Gaghan.
