She's been battling breast cancer since 2015 and recently revealed she's got to have more radiation therapy.

But it was business as usual for Shannen Doherty on Saturday as she was spotted out in Malibu refueling her SUV.

The 45-year-old 90210 added a colourful touch to her outfit as she wrapped her head in a pink scarf.

She's a survivor: It was great to see Shannen Doherty out and about on Saturday, even if it was just to refuel her SUV

The rest of her look was more subdued as she wore a black sweater with dark camouflage trousers.

A pair of black trainers with white soles and some heavily tinted aviator shades completed the casual look.

The jaunt came just a day after a heartbreaking post Shannen shared with her 755,000 Instagram followers.

The star posed in a hospital gown and a bandanna as she awaited a CT scan.

While she appeared quite peaceful in the photo, her caption revealed the raw emotions at play.

She started by explaining the circumstances of the picture: 'Ct scan to do mapping for radiation plan. This scared me so much. Not sure why. Was supposed to get it with contrast but the minute they started looking at which vein to use I started crying. Full panic attack.'

Shannen then attempted to explain her state of mind for her supporters.

'Sometimes, you just get sick of being poked. And that's ok. I cried. I felt sorry for myself for a minute.'

But she soon revealed her inner strength once again, in the final few sentences, which served as a great example of how to be positive in the face of medical adversity.

'Then stopped and reminded myself of how lucky I am. Thank God my new radiation oncologist decided to try without contrast so I would calm down. So.... one panic attack down and mapping done!! Now to actually start radiation... #cancerslayer #warrior #fightlikeagirl #blessed'
