Electoral College electors aim to block Donald Trump's election win

At least six Democratic electors have signed an agreement to try to block Donald Trump from securing the presidency with 270 Electoral College votes. While it would be unlikely to convince 37 Republican electors to change their votes, an unusually large number of 'faithless electors' who refuse to vote for Trump could undermine the institution itself. In the U.S., presidents are elected by the Electoral College - not by popular vote in which Hillary stands 1.7million ballots ahead. In most states, electors must cast a vote for the winner of their state's popular vote. But some states like Arizona, Idaho, Michigan and Georgia don't have a rule against electors going rogue, and phone calls from across the country have been pouring in to try to sway them against voting for Trump.

England lose at football because too many of them went to private school

A Labour MP has claimed the England football team's dire performances are because not enough of them came from comprehensive schools. Stella Creasy cited Government research as she challenged Tory MP John Redwood's assertion that because being scouted as an elite footballer as a child could be life changing, selection would work in other fields as well. A report on 'elitist Britain' said 13 per cent of England's team were privately educated - better than many other sports but double the share of the whole population. Challenging Mr Redwood, Ms Creasy said: 'Do you think that might account for the performance of our national football team, if we're missing out on the talent that exists in the comprehensive sector?'

Moment twins conjoined at the head look at each other for the first time

They shared every second of their lives together until last month.  But Jadon and Anias McDonald, twins conjoined at the crown of their heads, never caught a glimpse of their closest companion.  In October, the 13-month-old boys were successfully separated in a grueling, life-threatening 27-hour operation at Montefiore Hospital. And a month later, as they make an historically rapid recovery, they have been pictured looking at each other for the first time. Staring, open-mouthed, they both look stunned. The pair will be moved to a rehab facility shortly after Thanksgiving, six weeks after surgery. It is the fastest recovery for separation of craniopagus twins (conjoined at the head) in history, beating the previous record of eight weeks.

Trump's 'Farage for ambassador' plot was meticulously planned out

When Donald Trump made Nigel Farage the first major foreign politician he received (pictured left), the President-elect didn't so much as upset the diplomatic apple cart as kick it over. Trump's characteristic refusal to play by the traditional rules is also behind his cheeky suggestion that Farage should be Britain's ambassador to the US (inset). Of course, Trump's team never expected that Mrs May would welcome the suggestion and jettison the current UK ambassador to Washington, Sir Kim Darroch (right, with Barack Obama) to make way for a man who has caused the Tory Party so many problems. They were simply trying to test Mrs May and sending a typically blunt message about how Trump intends to operate as president.

PIERS MORGAN: Only a matter of time before Kanye West overdosed

I wasn't surprised Kanye was hospitalized. For the past 18 months, the star has behaved in an increasingly erratic and bizarre manner. I suspect the real issue is that Kanye West is a celebrity junkie. Nobody can actually 'Keep Up With The Kardashians' because the commercial machine of self-invasive, privacy-whoring chaos never gets turned off.
