A stroke of bad luck! Pakistani man allows his friend to pet his ‘tame’ LION – only for it to leap up and maul him

  • A man is attacked by a friend's lioness when he tries to stroke the animal
  • The footage, believed to come from Pakistan, ended with no-one hurt

A video has emerged of a pet lion attacking the friend of its owner, who manages to escape to tell the tale.

The footage, believed to have been filmed in Pakistan, shows two men with a fully grown lioness on a porch or covered balcony.

One man, wearing a traditional shalwar kameez, holds a leash while the other man, casually dressed in blue shirt and jeans, strokes the animal as if it were a cat.

The lioness appears to be playing with a toy, which it has in its mouth, and she initially ignores the man as he strokes her back.

For some reason the beast becomes annoyed by his attention and goes for him, chasing him to the other end of the balcony.

It seems the animal was only playing though and did not intend to cause any serious harm.

But he is left terrified nonetheless.
