'Mummy, you did it!': Adele shares sweet snap of her welcome home from son Angelo... as she prepares to take '10 year break from touring'

She's just wrapped up a mammoth tour that took in 107 dates worldwide in 10 months.

So it was no surprise that Adele was welcomed home with open arms by her family, following her last concert on the North American leg of her live tour, in Phoneix.

Sharing a snap of her son Angelo's welcome home banner, the singer, 28, gushed about the 'incredible' tour, thanking her fans, crew and family for making it work.

The snap shared with 21.3million followers showed a hallway lit by a lamp and a huge home-made sign, decorated with painted hearts, spots and handprints.

The message from her four-year-old son was simple and sweet, with the sign reading: 'Mummy, you did it!!!'

Clearly overwhelmed by the prospect of spending some quality time at home before the final leg of the Adele Live tour in 2017, the singer captioned the image with a touching message.

'I just finished my 107 shows in 10 months. 100% live every night. I b****y smashed it, even if I do say so myself.

'You lot have been incredible, every night you've been so beautiful, loving and engaged.

The sweet snap from the London-born singer's return home came just hours after she closed the North American leg of her all-conquering live show in Arizona.

The Hello singer will enjoy a break from the road till late February, which is when she will set out to finish the tour with a handful of dates in Australia.

As of yet she has not revealed any plans to perform live for the foreseeable future.

In September it was reported that she is preparing to take a 10 year hiatus from touring so that she can spend time with he son, Angelo.

According to The Sun, the Rolling In The Deep singer has made the decision in light of the fact her son with Simon Konecki will start school next year and will be unable to join her on the road - but she is said to be considering a Las Vegas residency. 

A source told the newspaper: 'Angelo is the number one priority for Adele. He is the most important thing in her life.

A representative for Adele declined to comment when approached by MailOnline at the time.
