And Janet Street Porter, 69, appeared to forget her surroundings on Tuesday lunchtime, when she swore during a live Loose Women broadcast.

The panel - Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan, Janet and June Sarpong - were discussing diets in the run up to Christmas when Janet made the gaffe.

June claimed her colleague could be more compassionate to women battling the bulge in the build up to the festive season.

To which the journalist quipped: 'Are you saying i'm a cold-hearted b**ch?', which she swiftly laughed off and apologised for.

Coleen spoke of her struggle with sticking to diets while living in the public eye, as June reflected on her natural slim genes.

The former T4 host said: 'I come from a slim family. Everyone has their cross to bear. I have to deal with acne.

'So do I,' added Coleen.

Trying to reassure her pal, June said: 'In Ghanaian culture, slim is not the ideal. You would be the hottest thing on the planet.'

Janet lamented the English attitude towards bodyshape, stating: 'In this country, we've adopted a false idea that no one is going to be able to achieve.'

In the last month alone, Janet has both scolded Millie Macintosh and the treatment she received at Buckingham Palace when made a CBE.

Speaking on Loose Women at the end of October, she said: 'I was a little bit nervous. We were taken into a special room where we rehearsed for 30 minutes without even a cup of coffee.'

She added: 'The man made me rehearse twice. I said to him, "I do a live TV show, surely three steps and a bob can't be that hard.'

Meanwhile, she branded Millie 'childish' for ruining her wedding dress in a bid to get back at ex-husband Professor Green.
