Lady Louise Windsor, 13-year-old daughter of Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex, is following in the carriage-driving footsteps of her grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh.

The teenage royal, who is 11th in line to the throne, set out in her own carriage in Windsor Great Park on Sunday accompanied by a groom.

Lady Louise — who was a bridesmaid at the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton in 2011 — was born with a squint, but can now see perfectly after having corrective surgery.

Prince Philip has been an avid carriage driver since 1971, when he took up the sport after giving up polo.

He enjoys regular outings with his son Prince Charles’s old friend Lady Brabourne.

Archer: 'I've got next Downton!'

Former Conservative MP Lord Archer claims that Netflix has approached him to adapt his seven-volume book series, The Clifton Chronicles, into a ‘televisual serial along the lines of Downton Abbey’.

‘Netflix are looking at a possible adaptation, as are others,’ he says.

‘I think it is tailor-made for a television serial.

‘The books have been number one in 27 countries, so that would surely give it a ready-made audience.’ Netflix, which has splurged £100 million on royal drama The Crown, about the early life of the Queen, declines to comment.

The Clifton Chronicles follow the fictional protagonist Harry Clifton from the Twenties to the present day via murder mysteries, war exploits, international espionage, boardroom battles and Westminster politics.

‘I always borrow from my own experiences,’ admits Archer. ‘There is obviously a lot of me in Harry.’

Gordon and son: Same hair, same face, same potty mouth

There’s no denying he’s a chip off the old block. With the blond, spiky hair, distinguished square jaw and rugged physique, Gordon Ramsay’s doppelganger son, Jack, stole the show at the Bafta Children’s Awards on Sunday.

Arriving at The Roundhouse in North London, the lookalike duo posed alongside the rest of the family on the red carpet.

As well as his father’s rugged looks, Jack (pictured, far right) has also inherited a love of football and, according to Gordon (right), a fondness for using fruity language.

But the 16-year-old has reportedly told his parents he will not follow in their culinary footsteps and instead hopes to join the Royal Marines.

Jeremy Irons features in a new memoir by U.S. comedian Kathy Griffin. The Oscar-winner is an idol of Griffin’s and she recalls bumping into him at London’s The Wolseley, where she engineers a photo op and is thrilled when he says: ‘Of course I know who you are.’ Griffin admits: ‘I said “Thank you very much for indulging me.” And he said: “So long, Jackie.” A-a-a-and back to Earth I tumbled.’
