'It's a complete joke': Viewers threaten to BOYCOTT X Factor as Honey G is SAVED by judges while Ryan Lawrie is sent home... leading to fresh fix claims

Ryan Lawrie has become the seventh act voted off The X Factor's thirteenth series.

The Scottish crooner went head-to-head with this year's most controversial contestant, Honey G, in a bid to make it through to next week, yet the judges voted three to four in favour of the rapper.

On Sunday night's show, the shocking result led to hoards of angry viewers swarming Twitter, where the show was hit with fresh fix claims atop threats from fans to boycott the programme in light of the decision.

For the tense sing off, Ryan brought out his guitar and sang Ed Sheeran's 2011 hit Lego House before Honey G put on an extremely animated display while singing Missy Elliott's 2008 classic Get Ya Freak On.

During the song she put a twist on her catchphrase: 'When I say Honey, you say G', to sing: 'When I say save, you say me' and her prayers were answered when she remained in the competition.

Head honcho Simon Cowell opened up the judge's decision following the sing off as he said: 'Ryan you were my wildcard and what you've done has been incredible but you've been in the bottom a lot.

'Should we go to deadlock? The one who for me, felt like she wanted to stay more was Honey G - So I'm going to save Honey G.'

Honey's mentor Sharon Osbourne was next up and naturally opted to save her own act, while Nicole Scherzinger followed suit and sent home Honey G in a failed bid to save her act Ryan.

The deciding vote was left down to Louis Walsh, who wasted little time in his decision to save the rapper - leading to Ryan being shown the door.

After news of the decision was unearthed, Twitter was ablaze with outrage from fans who insisted the show was in a state of disarray due to the presence of Honey G - who has continued to remain safe in the tense competition.

Viewers penned: 'I SWEAR IF HONEY G IS SAFE AGAIN IM GOING TO SUE #XFactor... Honey G has to definitely go tonight! All the others are good! #xfactor

Rapping it up: Her space saving performance was full of energy

SOS: Ryan's haunting rendition of Lego House was no enough to save him from the chopping block

The decider: It was Louis Walsh who dealt the devastating blow to Ryan as he opted to save Honey G

'Even though honey g is in the bottom two the judges will still put her through over Ryan because she's more 'entertaining' #XFactor... Deffo won't be watching X factor again if Honey G gets through.

'X factor will prove how much of a fix it is by sending honey G through #XFactor... I swear the G will get through and then everyone will be "outraged" that she got through instead of Ryan. It's a fix people! #XFactor.'

Other users were outraged and continued to vent: 'So nobody likes #HoneyG but she is still in! This is the last series I'm watching #XFactor #fixed @SimonCowell is a twat...
