Backlash: Viewers have branded Scarlett Moffatt, 26, a 'bully' after her latest altercation with her fellow campmate Martin Roberts on Sunday night

Martin broke down in tears after arguing for a second time with Danny, who claimed he refused to obey orders from Scarlett.

Fans of the ITV1 jungle-based show flocked to Twitter to comment, and while some claimed Scarlett had acted like a 'bully', others said she acted well within her rights.

Scarlett had told Roberts to help his camp maintenance team mate Adam Thomas collect water so that Carol Vorderman and Lisa Snowdon could finish washing up after dinner.

As he seemed to evade her request, Danny, 59, snapped: 'Martin, she's the President mate, whatever she says to do, you do it. You always answer her back like she's some silly kid and she isn't.'

After Martin refuted the accusation, Danny replied: 'You do, every single time, mate. She's smart as a whip, she shouldn't need me to step in but you do it too often.

'If she tells you to run down there and bring it up on the top of your head, then you run down there and bring it up on the top of your head, alright?'

He continued: 'So we've had another row, you've took two steps forward and three steps backwards and it's not just me, I'm the spokesman.'

Roberts questioned whether he is the spokesperson to which Moffatt stepped in: 'Yeah it is, there is only so many times I can ask you politely.'

An apologetic Martin then said: 'I didn't realise I wasn't doing my bit, wow, OK, I shall make amends' - and later broke down in tears while sitting on a log.

Tensions running high: When Scarlett came over to comfort him, their issues seemed to be resolved, with Martin promising that tomorrow was a 'new day'

Then Scarlett noticed his tears and came over to comfort him, during which he revealed: 'Everyone thinks I'm treating you badly.'

Trying to explain herself, she said: 'Danny was sticking up for me, I've been made President and I'm very flattered and my job is to make sure everyone else is doing their jobs.

'Everyone else 100 per cent gets stuck in but I've asked you over 20 times really politely and you just haven't. Then as soon as one of the guys asks you, you do it.'

Martin concluded: 'Tomorrow’s a new day you won’t have to ask me twice to do anything.'
