Will Brad and Angelina reunite for Thanksgiving? Actress 'asks estranged husband for truce as kids beg them to be nice to each other for the holidays'

They are in the midst of a contentious divorce and battle over custody of their six children.

But a new report is suggesting that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie may put their differences aside to spend Thanksgiving together for the sake of their brood.

OK! reports that the 41-year-old actress phoned Brad directly and asked for a 'temporary truce' after she realized how much their kids want them together for the holidays.

Spending the holiday together? A new report is suggesting that Angelina Jolie phoned estranged husband Brad Pitt to ask him for a temporary truce for Thanksgiving

The magazine claims it was the duo's daughter Shiloh, 10, who was 'begging' the actors to be nice to each other.

OK! writes that Shiloh sent an emotional email to them both asking to spend Thanksgiving together.

Angelina then softened her stance and bypassed their attorney middlemen, calling the Fight Club star directly.

'He thanked her for the invitation and she said "I think it'll be good for us"' a source told the publication.

The insider cautioned that it would only be a two-day truce and that the split is as contentious as ever - they are just doing what they know is best for their family.

And it's not just Shiloh apparently as Brangelina's other children, Pax, 13, Zahara, 11 and twins Vivienne and Knox, eight, all want a reunion between their parents.

The actors' eldest child Maddox, 15, is reportedly not so into the idea following the argument he had with his dad aboard their private jet in September which apparently triggered Angelina's divorce filing.

The magazine also claims Brad called his son with a tearful apology saying 'he should have been a better listener'.

Brad has been cleared of any wrongdoing by the Department of Children & Family Services regarding the plane incident.

Regardless, Angelina is reportedly still seeking sole physical custody of their six children and Brad is still planning on fighting her for joint.

A source revealed: 'Brad's incredibly apprehensive about the thought of meeting Angelina face-to-face' but added that the Allied star is willing to do anything to spend Thanksgiving with his children.

'For the time being he's willing to lay down his sword' an insider said.

Angelina filed for divorce from Brad on September 14 citing irreconcilable differences ending two years of marriage and 12 years together.

The actor has had limited visits with his children since then.
