After recently denying rumours that her engagement to Jake Roche is over, it would make sense that Jesy Nelson wearing her engagement ring would garner attention.

However, it was the Little Mix star's lack of culinary skills that had her fans aflutter on Sunday morning, when she and her bandmates made a TV appearance.

After admitting that she was hungover from having partied the night before, the Move singer was the focus of much mockery on Twitter as she struggled to slice a baguette in half on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch.

She admitted to being hungover as she appeared on Sunday Brunch but at least Jesy Nelson's style was looking fresh.

The star teamed check trousers with a cute crop top featuring a star and moon motif, resulting in a cool print clash.

Appearing alongside bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall, the 25-year-old beauty admitted she was no dab hand in the kitchen.

'State of that roll,' observed another - alongside a string of laughing emojis - while one viewer noted that she might want to 'sit out' any possible drinking segments on the show.

However, when the ladies got together to put on an acoustic performance, the tone soon changed from mockery to praise, with fans gushing over the quartet's vocals.

What seemed to go largely amiss was the fact that Jesy was wearing her sparkling engagement ring, days after slamming reports that she and her fiancé of 18 months had gone their separate ways.

Jesy sparked split rumours earlier this month, after she unfollowed the Rixton member on Instagram, with reports of a heated argument between the pair further fuelling the fire.

But the singer finally broke her silence on the speculation by claiming the couple are still 'very much in love'.

Quite the contrary to parting ways, Jesy also admitted that they were in 'no rush' to tie to knot and explained the reason why they got engaged was to add more meaning to their relationship.

Speaking candidly to Idolator when asked about her nuptials, she revealed: 'When my fiancé proposed to me, he'd never done it like, "We're getting married tomorrow." He felt like when he called me his girlfriend, it wasn't enough.'

And while Jesy confessed that merely being boyfriend and girlfriend 'undermined' their relationship, she also disclosed no haste in saying 'I do'.

The pop princess added: 'We're in no rush. We want to travel the world together. There's so much we want to do together, and at the moment, we're focused on our own careers that there just isn't time.

'I think when we know, we'll know, and we'll do it, and [it will] probably be really intimate, hardly any people there. We're very much in love, and we'll do it when we feel the time is right,' she gushed.

Jesy also divulged that her dream wedding would be 'intimate' with only her close friends and family in attendance.

But despite looking to the future, the past couple of days have been quite rocky for the twosome, especially on the social media front.

One very confused follower demanded to know: 'WHAT DOES THIS MEAN ROCHE' whilst another asked if this could just be hinting at new music, posting: 'I think this is the hint of new album of yours [sic].'

Meanwhile, Jesy also took to Instagram, but just to share a picture of her face in a distorted filter.

Jake and Jesy have been engaged for a year and a half after the singer employed the help of Ed Sheeran to propose to Jesy in July 2015, while on stage at the Manchester Evening News Arena.

However, the pair reportedly had a big falling out earlier this month, with a source telling The Sun: 'Jesy and Jake had a huge barney – it wasn't pretty.

'They're not a couple who avoid rows easily but this was different and could signal the end of their relationship...
