Rachael Ray has always had flattering curves.

But lately the 48-year-old TV chef has had more than she has desired.

And on Tuesday Star magazine claimed that the perky morning show darling is having a strenuous time shedding the unwanted weight because she's going through menopause.

In October the super cook was seen looking rounder than usual as she walked in NYC, but that may just be because she was seen before her glam session.

But she is juggling a lot: The bubbly beauty has been doing a syndicated show for 10 years

'She's having a really rough time,' a source said.

'No matter how much she diets she keeps gaining weight. Then she'll get frustrated and say screw it and binge.'

The insider noted the star is down on herself because she is also suffering from night sweats and migraines associated with menopause.

She has been to many specialists and is now trying a homeopathic approach.

Menopause has been so frustrating for Ray that she wants to do a special show on it to bring awareness to 'the change.'

But that doesn't mean she has given up on shrinking her waistline.

'She is trying her hardest to stay on a strict diet. She hates the way she looks and feels.'

Ray has had her own syndicated series since 2006. She is married to John Cusimano.
