EXCLUSIVE 'I'm open to having more children': Donna Air on expanding her family after reuniting with James Middleton

She's batted off accusations that she's dumbed down her Northern accent, and is rumoured to have been dating James Middleton for the last three years. 

But Donna Air has taken everything in her stride, rising to fame as a teen on Byker Grove, before relocating down south and becoming part of the Primrose Hill set. 

And the 37-year-old busy mother-of-one has admitted life is a very open book for her, speaking to MailOnline about having more children and getting into the Christmas spirit.

As a proud mum to 13-year-old Freya - her daughter with ex Damian Aspinall, the blonde beauty has admitted she is open to having more children. 

Rumoured to have started dating Kate Middleton's 29-year-old brother James in 2013, the duo were said to have reconciled over the summer after he returned from a business deal in Hong Kong.  

'I’m open to more children the same way I’m open to most things. I have no set life plan, it can take you in all sorts of directions,' she told MailOnline.

And the family-oriented presenter is looking forward to Christmas, getting into the festive spirit.

'I’ve just started ordering things online, but I do have my traditions like going to Bond Street to see the lights and ending a day of Christmas shopping with some cocktails a glass of bubbles. 

'My daughter is very organised- we get a Christmas catalogues from her with Christmas wishes and I admire her spirit. If you don’t ask for what you want from Santa you won’t get it!' she added.

'I’m in no position to give advice on other people’s relationships!' she quipped when asked about Prince Harry's girlfriend Meghan Markle (pictured right)

'We’ll be spending it with both my London and Newcastle family and then hopefully get away somewhere exotic for a sun-soaked January. We’ll be having a Christmas roast with all the trimmings.'

But despite her rumoured boyfriend being brother to Kate Middleton, who is married to Prince William, she declined to comment on Prince Harry's sizzling new girlfriend Meghan Markle.

'I’m in no position to give advice on other people’s relationships!' she quipped.

And gushing about motherhood, the former Celebrity Masterchef contender revealed: 'The best thing is spending time together and having them here.

'I think all working parents can empathise, and even if you don’t work- motherhood is a full-time job, and you’ll always want more time. The hardest part is patience I try to have lots, and I’m still learning. '

As ambassador of TK Maxx’s first Christmas Sock Day in collaboration with Cancer research, she revealed the cause was close to her heart as so many people are affected by the disease.

'As this is for children and teenagers it’s especially close to my heart. It’s vital they get funds and support. 

'My favourites are the grey socks- maybe as they remind me of my school uniform! I They’re great stocking fillers. It’s a great thing to get involved in on National Sock day on December 6.'

And Donna laughed off accusations that she's dumbed down her Geordie accent since moving down to London, adding that she speaks the same on-screen as off-screen.

Despite her busy schedule, she manages to squeeze in the odd yoga class to keep her fabulous figure in tact.

'Spinning is my thing at the moment and in the winter I like to keep hot with Bikram yoga,' she revealed. 

But dieting is not something on the petite star's radar, with her admitting she's somewhat of a foodie. 

'Food is my pleasure so I don’t resist, I have a very varied diet as well as a sweet tooth. My palette needs a variety of tastes,' she laughed. 

And staying true to her roots, she revealed fellow Northerner Scarlett Moffatt is her favourite jungle contender, though she's also rooting for Larry Lamb.  

'Carol Vorderman looks amazing too', she added.
