She suffered a terrifying pregnancy scare after being rushed to hospital in agonising pain.

But almost a week after reflecting on the ordeal during an appearance on ITV show Loose Women, expectant mother Stephanie Davis was back on form and looking ahead to the imminent birth in a snap shared across social media.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday afternoon, the former Hollyoaks actress, 23, showed off her prominent baby bump while sitting cross legged in from of a tiny baby grow emblazoned with the words 'Mummy & Me.'

Perhaps with her recent hospital dash in mind she captioned the shot with a heartfelt message to her unborn child with former boyfriend Jeremy McConnell.

'How tiny!' she wrote. 'Picture doesn't even do it justice of how little it is! Just want him here so bad!! Hurry little one! Tired mummy, last leg were nearly there, despite what some people said and did, we did it, we actually did it (sic).

'Just want you in my arms now to hold and never let go, love you so much it hurts.'

The actress previously appeared on Thursday's episode of Loose Women, where she candidly revealed she was hospitalised due to her horrific pain.

After falling pregnant with her former CBB co-star Jeremy's child, Stephanie has faced a plethora of emotional and physical problems although she admits this was 'the worst pain ever'.

Stephanie discussed her plight on the ITV show as she continues to become embroiled in her acrimonious relationship with her ex-beau.

In her chat with the panel, she explained: 'I was having a nice girly night with my mum then went to bed staying in her room about four in the morning. I had the worst pains ever to the point I asked my mum to knock me out...

'The pain was that bad I was vomiting... I was seeing black dots cause I was in so much pain. I felt like a release and she was looking to make sure everything was ok and she saw loads of blood come out but it was from the back passage I ended up going to hospital.'

Despite her chronic pain, Stephanie could not be anaesthetised due to her imminent arrival: 'Couldn’t give me too many painkillers cause I’m pregnant... They took me straight up to the delivery ward I was panicking crying cause the blood was coming out everything was pushing down there so water came out...

'My blood pressure was really really low but my white cells were high. They think I’ve got colitis. They can’t test it until I have the baby. I hope it's nothing else... I’ve just had more tests done so waiting.'

Despite her terrifying experience, Stephanie can hardly wait for her new arrival as she said: 'I still don’t feel great. I cant wait to have the baby. I'm nervous, I’m looking forward to it but after everything, I'm apprehensive.'

Her turbulent relationship with Jeremy came into play, as she revealed she had heard nothing from the father of her child: 'No, not a word from Jeremy, nothing, don’t need to discuss that.'

As she headed into the Loose Women studios before her appearance, the beauty flaunted her blossoming baby bump in an all black oversized knit that skimmed her growing stomach.

Making her way to ITV Studios, the former Hollyoaks starlet - who is expecting her first son in a matter of weeks - teamed her fringe hemmed jumper with a pair of skintight black jeans.

Stephanie previously sparked fears she'd gone into early labour after her presence on Twitter, Snapchat and Instagram came to a halt earlier this month.

However, rumours she had welcomed a tiny tot into the world were hushed after a spokesperson for the star spoke out about Stephanie's illness.

They announced: 'We can confirm Stephanie has been in hospital since Wednesday 2nd November due to an illness and is currently undergoing further tests.

On the mend: Earlier this month, Stephanie was rushed to hospital due to an 'early labour' scare, but has since assured fans that she's doing just fine

'Stephanie has been subject to a number of rumours online the last few days regarding her pregnancy.

'We would like to confirm Stephanie has not given birth and her baby is doing well.'

While Stephanie is looking after herself following the scare, her former beau Jeremy let rip at her again after being questioned about a future reconciliation in light of him deleting all negative comments about Stephanie on Instagram.

Jeremy has denied being the father of ex-girlfriend Stephanie's unborn child since she confirmed her pregnancy in May.
