She recently returned from a romantic getaway in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with new beau Jason Walsh.

But on Sunday Hilary Duff made time for the other man in her life - son Luca, four, as the pair enjoyed breakfast together at the Beverly Glen Deli in Beverly Hills.

The 29-year-old Younger actress gave off a boho chic vibe in bell bottoms with black and white striped cosy sweater.

Little Luca - who the former Gossip Girl star shares with ex Mike Comrie - looked precious in a colourful flannel shirt with dark jeans and black high-top sneakers.

Meanwhile Hilary certainly seems to have expertly adapted to non-married life after divorcing the former ice hockey pro back in February.

She recently told CNN in an interview that the former couple still have 'a lot of love for each other' which helps the co-parenting situation.

'I think communication is really important and having respect for one another and knowing that your child is always watching,' she said.

'We have a lot of love for one another, so I think that it makes the whole situation much easier.'

However the blonde beauty admitted Los Angeles can be a challenging environment in which to raise her son.
