She's normally centre stage on the red carpet.

However, Rihanna decided to be behind the action on Tuesday as she was seen taking some photos on the set of Ocean's Eight in New York

The singer turned actress has never been afraid to step out of her comfort zone to try something different and the Barbados babe stayed true to her mantra.

The Needed Me singer went for an interesting look, opting to wear camouflaged trousers, beige Uggs and a large black floor length coat.

She styled her long raven locks in dramatic braids which she styled on top of her head with a maroon scarf.

She is currently in the middle of filming the highly anticipated movie alongside an impressive female dominated cast including Dakota Fanning, Anne Hathaway, Sarah Paulson, Helena Bonham Carter, Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock and Mindy Kaling.

Matt Damon and Damian Lewis are also set to star in this blockbuster due to be released on 8 June 2018.

The songstress has acquired a pretty impressive acting resumé asides from Ocean's Eight.

She was just recently spotted on the set of Bates Motel in Vancouver as she is set to play the role of Marion Crane in the fifth season of the hit show.

The actress also has a movie in post production, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, which is due out 21 July 2017.

Clive Owen and John Goodman also star in the sci-fi movie. 

Lastly, she is also rumoured to be in the upcoming 2018 movie Annette alongside The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo's Rooney Mara and Girls star Adam Driver.

The film depicts the rise and fall of an intense love story.
