'They're so fake': Viewers slam Martin Roberts for 'laughing too hard' at Danny Baker's jokes after his 'cringeworthy' and 'pointless' apology

Approaching his hammock, Danny shook Martin’s hand and said: 'I’m a person who don’t like confrontation plainly, you seem pretty much the same way - things can brood and go on and on.'

Happy to accept the olive branch for the second time in so many days, Martin said: 'I really appreciate you saying something, thanks mate.'

'Sorry it’s always me saying something; anyway, we’ve lanced the boil, it’s all over, it’s Monday, that’s all we know,' concluded Danny.

He then went into the Bush Telegraph and said: 'I thought I’d go straight over and say "look mate, I might be a volcano in certain respects but I think I was in the right last night by the team’s mood – worst thing you can do in here is brew."'

Not buying it: Twitter erupted into commentary about the celebs' feud

Martin then confided in Lisa about how he was feeling about the altercation, saying: 'I have been beavering away like crazy, gathering wood, collecting water, I’ve been to more places than hot dinners, so nobody can say anything.'

Martin and Danny were then seen sitting on a log laughing as Danny spun a few showbiz yarns about Tommy Cooper and Morecombe and Wise.

Martin found the tales to be hilarious - but perhaps a little too hilarious, some thought.

Taking to Twitter, fans began what seems to be becoming a nightly rant about the pair, slamming their constant falling out and making up again.

'I love how every episode starts with an apology from Danny/Martin and then ends with a row between Danny/Martin,' observed one viewer.

Friends again? Viewers on social media were not impressed with the pair's behaviour

'Are Martin and Danny going to have this apology conversation daily?!' asked another.

'They're like a couple that break up everyday then get back together,' someone else typed.

'The epitome of insincerity from Danny Baker to Martin,' someone else weighed in.

'I give it 10 minutes before it all kicks off again between Danny and Martin,' tweeted a doubtful viewer.

Of the men's sudden reconciliation, one puzzled fan of the show tweeted: 'Martin and Danny are literally frenemies.'

'Martin's fake laughing at every word Danny says is incredible,' someone else observed about the pair's log chat.

Sincere? Many branded Danny's apology 'pointless' given that the pair would likely fall out again later - but they made it through Monday's show without having another tiff

Over the top? 'Martin is over doing the oh Danny your so funny scenario; he basically doesn't wanna get shouted at and cry like a 4yr old again!' came another harsh tweet

Weighing in: Larry was also seen in the Bush Telegraph talking about Danny and Martin’s log laughing antics

'He is an interesting character, it was so funny we were just laughing and laughing. He’s got so many stories,' said Martin in the Bush Telegraph.

Joel, however, seemed to pick up on what the tweeters were observing.

He said: 'I don’t know if it was entirely genuine, more that thing like "morning Martin, morning Danny. Ha ha! Well you look wonderful this morning."'

Larry was also seen in the Bush Telegraph talking about Danny and Martin’s log laughing antics: 'I don’t know what it is, whatever it is, their formula seems to work for them. They’re like an old married couple, a ruck in the evening and in the morning having a leg over.'
