'I'm here taking care of puppies': Kylie Jenner sits out of American Music Awards after her dog gives birth 

Kylie Jenner opted to sit out of the 2016 American Music Awards to stay at home and care for the newest additions to her family - two puppies her Italian Greyhound Bambi had just given birth to.  

The 19-year-old made the revelation on her Twitter account on Sunday, writing: 'For those asking.. I was planning on going to AMA this year but Bambi went into labor...so I'm here taking care of puppies.' 

The reality mega star, who has attended the American Music Awards for the last three years in a row, announced to her fans on Sunday that Bambi had welcomed two puppies.

Kylie posted a video on Snapchat showing the newborns suckling as she stroked her Italian Greyhound Bambi's head.

It seems the teen social media sensation doesn't regret staying in either.

Asked by a fan on Twitter if she would keep the pups, she responded: 'Yes (smiling emoticon). they r so cute this has been an amazing experience.'  

The reality star also revealed her other dog, Norman, was the father of the two puppies.

Kylie also said she never actually planned on breeding her dogs.

'Yes I knew,' she wrote in response to a fan who asked if she was aware Bambi was pregnant, 'but I just wasn't planning on breeding my dogs. It only takes one time people lol.'

Norman and Bambi are the two Italian Greyhounds Kylie owns, and the dogs even have their own room at her new $6 million mansion in Hidden Hills outside of Los Angeles.

They clearly haven't been spayed or neutered though.

'The best accidents to ever happen,' Kylie, 19, captioned the Snapchat video. 'Norman & Bambi's babies.'

She also revealed she decided to name them Blue and Fawn.

The puppies are just the latest additions to the reality clan.

Kylie's older half-brother Rob became a first time dad earlier this month when his fiancee Blac Chyna gave birth to their daughter Dream.

And it seems Kylie is sticking to the trend started by Rob and Chyna of moving away from Kardashian family members choosing names starting with a 'k'.
