On her way out, fans gathered around the pop star's car, singing her lyrics: 'Lord, show me the way...I've got a hundred million reasons to walk away. But baby, I just need one good one to stay.'
Gaga - who was dressed in a beaded white jacket and signature wide-brimmed hat - was positively taken aback by the encore of the ballad, which is the latest hit single from her new album, Joanne.
The singer warmly embraced her fans from her car, taking in the special moment.
One reason to stay: After the 30-year-old singer gave a soulful performance during the awards show, fans surrounded her car singing an encore to her hit ballad, bringing her to tears
Pleasant surprise: After a whirlwind of an evening, the fans also brought her lilac flowers
And her out pour of emotions stemmed from a series of events, including the performance of the song during the AMAs.
Sitting amid a prairie set, the singer went barefoot in front of a starry night backdrop as she passionately belted out her song that she accompanied with a guitar.
Later taking to Instagram on Monday, Gaga wrote about the experience to her fans saying: '...The stage last night was a replica of my backyard where I spend a lot of time looking out over my property line and singing with my guitar. Thinking about my life thinking, about yours, and how we can make the world a better place together. Thank you so much for how you've blessed me...'

Late last month, the Poker Face singer spoke about the meaning of Million Reasons, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard charts, and explained: 'I just really want women to be heard,' clarifying that 'I'm not a man-hater at all,' and adding that 'women, when we love you, we love you so much, you know? So, that's what that song is about.'
She reminisced: 'It's every time I ask my dad to stop drinking, every time I ask the guy to listen to me a little more, every time I, you know, thought about why - why didn't he choose me over that drink? You know, my dad, or my grandpa, or whoever.'
Adding: 'I wrote this song for women all over the world.'

Meanwhile, Gaga - who took time off before releasing Joanne - recently spoke about her issue with chronic pain and advised her fans on how to deal with it.
She revealed in her Instagram post on Friday that she's been suffering from chronic pain for five years and explored a variety of treatments.
Gaga signed off with: 'Hope this helps some of you, it helps me to keep doing my passion, job and the things I love even on days when I feel like I can't get out of bed. Love you and thank you for all your positive messages.'
Back in 2013, Gaga postponed several concerts due to a show injury and chronic pain.
