'Newly-single' Jesy Nelson is full of feisty spirit in leather hotpants as she joins Little Mix onstage at X Factor Italia... after Jake Roche split

While many have focused on Perrie Edwards' split from Zayn Malik in recent months, Jesy Nelson may have been singing Shout Out To My Ex the loudest on Thursday.

The Little Mix singer, who is thought to have called off her engagement to Jake Roche, hit the stage with a feisty attitude as the band played X Factor Italia.

The 25-year-old rocked leather hotpants with fishnets and thigh-high boots, putting her recent love split to one side to put on a good show.

Jesy flashed her taut middle as she danced around in a cropped sweatshirt that unzipped to hang off her shoulders.

The reported break-up looked especially good on the brunette, who upstaged her bandmates with her phenominal figure.

She was flanked by Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards, all co-ordinating in black, red and white outfits.

Reports that Jesy was suddenly single again followed the revelation that she had unfollowed his posts on Instagram. 

And her romance with fiancé of 18-months Jake was once again been thrown under scrutiny when sources claimed that the duo had been broken up for weeks - despite Jesy wearing her ring during a TV appearance on Sunday.  

An insider told The Sun newspaper: 'It’s over as far as Jesy’s concerned and there’s no going back.

'The wedding is off and her engagement ring won’t be going back on. Jesy’s so busy with her career and she’s throwing herself into work.'

Jake and Jesy have been engaged for a year and a half after the singer employed the help of Ed Sheeran to propose to Jesy in July 2015, while on stage at the Manchester Evening News Arena.

After causing concern among fans with the absence of her engagement ring, the Essex-born beauty appeared on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch wearing the sparkler - in the first sighting of the ring in recent weeks.

Only weeks ago, Jesy gushed about her nuptials, saying: 'When my fiancé proposed to me, he'd never done it like, "We're getting married tomorrow." He felt like when he called me his girlfriend, it wasn't enough.'

And while Jesy confessed that merely being boyfriend and girlfriend 'undermined' their relationship, she also disclosed no haste in saying 'I do'.

The pop princess added: 'We're in no rush. We want to travel the world together. There's so much we want to do together, and at the moment, we're focused on our own careers that there just isn't time.

'I think when we know, we'll know, and we'll do it, and [it will] probably be really intimate, hardly any people there. We're very much in love, and we'll do it when we feel the time is right,' she gushed. 

Despite looking to the future, the past weeks have been quite rocky for the twosome, especially on the social media front.
