'I passed out before dinner last night': Chrissy Teigen reveals she spent all day cooking but ended up in bed before the big Thanksgiving meal

Chrissy Teigen is enjoying her Thanksgiving meal a day late.

The 30-year-old model spent all day in the kitchen but ended up asleep by the time it came to dinner.

She showed her Snapchat fans a plate of left overs on Friday and said: 'I passed out before dinner last night.

'I made everything, put it out and went to bed.'

She elaborated on Twitter, writing: 'I cook nonstop for 12 hours. No sitting no snacking no anything. I "go up to use the restroom", find the bed, and never return until Friday.'

It was indeed a busy day; she was spotted picking up some last-minute supplies at a grocery store in West Hollywood on Thursday before documenting her cooking session on social media.

Ice cream and cuddles: Friday fun continued with a sweet treat and bonding time with her daughter Luna

The model flashed her white lace bra in a very low-cut white maxi dress adorned with a pretty yellow floral print.

Chrissy captured clips of her seven-month-old daughter Luna playing before cooking with her husband John Legend and their family and friends.

Perhaps some of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl's Thanksgiving recipes will feature in her new cookbook.

Chrissy's first cookbook, Cravings, hit the shelves earlier this year and has been a huge success.

Let's get together: Chrissy documented her holiday with family and friends on Snapchat

Take it to the maxi in Chrissy's dress by Flynn Skye

It may not seem like quite the right time of year to be rocking a maxi dress but we think this look should be a perennial trend.

Of course if you're living it up in the sunshine of West Hollywood like Chrissy Teigen then a low backed maxi like this one by Flynn Skye doesn't look remotely out of place. We love its subtle yellow floral motif and V-neck and if you do too then click (right) to buy it now at Revolve.

It's in the sale so you'll be getting a bit of a bargain to boot. And if you're still unsure how to style it in the winter months then try layering a polo neck knit underneath, a chunky cardigan over the top and exchange sandals for some knee high boots.

Or take a look at our edit below for more flowery maxis to tempt you from Free People, Indah, Asos and Topshop.

And now that she is mother, the bombshell has revealed that she has been working on recipes that are lighter and easier to prepare.

'It’s been really fun trying to find things that are a little quicker and a little simpler because these days I really appreciate a simple recipe,' she told People earlier this month.

'Obviously, baby Luna’s changed us a lot. Some of the things that I barely have the energy for now on a Sunday I used to cook on, like, a Wednesday night. I don’t have time to pick the same herbs as I used to.'

Baby's first Thanksgiving: No doubt the Lip Sync Battle host wanted to make it special seeing as it was Luna's first time celebrating the holiday

Too cute: Chrissy captured videos of her seven-month-old daughter playing and hanging out with their dog

'What in the...': Chrissy looked to be feeling dubious about the candied yams

Cheers to us: There was also plenty of booze on hand

Chrissy added that her fans have been asking for more vegetarian options, which she is incorporating for cookbook number two.

'I think I look at some dishes and I have this natural instinct to put bacon, ham, or some kind of pork in it,' she confessed.

'But then I started realizing if it’s delicious on its own, then why do that? So I feel like I’m unintentionally cooking lighter, but still getting great, great flavors.'

Her little chef: Chrissy had some help from a little girl who was wearing a mini chef's hat

Getting involved: While Chrissy is working on her second cookbook, her husband John Legend is also a great cook and was seen making a dish

And now for dessert: The star had a freezer full of goodies for her hungry guests
