Accommodation

A flat maybe provided at a subsidised rate subject to availability in College-owned houses at Leckhampton, the ten-acre campus for the graduate community of the College, which consists of some 100 residents (Fellows and research students, married, partnered and single). The flats are fully furnished and centrally heated, each with kitchen, sitting-room, and one or two bedrooms. Leckhampton is situated in a pleasant residential area, with schools and shops within walking or cycling distance. It has dining and other social facilities, a beautiful and spacious garden, and an outdoor swimming pool; the College sports ground (with two squash courts, nine lawn tennis courts, and two hard courts) is next door. Car parking space is available, if required. Leckhampton is fifteen to twenty minutes’ walk from the College itself and from the main laboratories in or near central Cambridge; it is even closer to the University Library and certain Faculty buildings (Classics, Economics, English, History, Law, Linguistics, Modern Languages, Philosophy) in Sidgwick Avenue.
