All bedrooms within Corpus have access to a wired ethernet port, enabling high speed internet access. In addition to this the Taylor Library is populated with desks containing wired ethernet ports and all areas of the College are wireless enabled featuring both the ccwireless network and eduroam. Please visit the Network Configuration page to find detailed information on connecting once you arrive at Corpus Christi.
Corpus Christi College runs it’s own wireless service called “ccwireless”, using WPA2 authentication (key available from the Porters lodge, the students post rooms and the hostel ).
Corpus and the University of Cambridge are members of the JANET Roaming Service (JRS), which in turn is a member of the eduroam federation. Members of the University of Cambridge, as well as members of institutions participating in the JANET Roaming or Eduroam are welcome to use the University’s guest networks provided they agree to the Rules for the Use of Computers and Data Networks and the JANET Roaming Policy.
The minimum requirement for this network are:
- Support for IEEE 802.11b or 802.11g wireless Ethernet
- Support for WPA or WPA2 encryption – requires latest patches on Windows XP
- Support for IEEE 802.1x authentication
The wireless network names (SSIDs) for the wireless networks are:
Network Name (SSID) | Encryption / Authentication | Description |
eduroam | IEEE 802.1x | eduroam or JRS affiliates only |
ccwireless | WPA2 / Key available from Porters Lodge | Corpus wireless for all users |
When visiting a participating institution using JANET Roaming or eduroam, users will be able to access the Internet, including the usual services provided by their home institution.
Users from other JANET Roaming or eduroam enabled sites who are visiting the Corpus will be able to access the Internet and selected University resources.
