She's been busy filming her new television miniseries Feud in recent weeks.

But Catherine-Zeta Jones looked like she was enjoying some well-earned rest on Wednesday, as she shared a set sizzling bikini snaps from her Mexican getaway on Instagram.

The actress, 47, showed off her incredible figure and pert posterior in a skimpy black bikini as she relaxed on her sun-soaked break with husband Michael Douglas, 72.

Catherine-Zeta Jones certainly packed well for her trip to Mexico.

Yesterday we spotted her wearing a plunging L'Agent by Agent Provocateur one-piece, and now here she is rocking a little black bikini by Lenny Niemeyer.

The Academy Award-winning actress looked more sensational than ever in the chic two-piece, which she showed off in a photo collage on her Instagram page.

She first posed with her back to the camera, showing off her long and slender legs as well as her pert behind in her briefs, embellished with gold detailing on the hips.

Later turning front on, the Chicago star then flaunted her enviably flat and toned stomach and womanly waist, as she posed fiercely with her hands on her hips.

Not letting her show-stopping style falter in her swimwear, Catherine opted for a chic bikini which cut into a trendy choker neckline, and accessorised with glamorous, oversized sunglasses. 

The star is currently enjoying a holiday in Mexico with fellow actor and husband Michael Douglas, 72 - where the pair appear to be spending quality time together without their children Dylan, 16, and daughter Carys, 13, in tow.

Despite being married for 16 years, Michael recently admitted on the Jonathan Ross Show that the romance did not get off on the best foot.

Setting the scenes of their first meeting at the Deauville Film Festival, he explained that after asking his publicist to set up a meeting, he greeted the star at a bar.

After just a few minutes of chatting, Michael surprised Catherine by coming out with: 'You know, I'm going to be the father of your children,' which he claimed 'sounded good'.

But his comments were somewhat ill-advised as he revealed she said 'I've heard a lot about you and I've seen a lot about you and I think it's time that I said goodnight.''

Dismayed, he recalled: 'So I thought 'I've totally blew it.' She was gone early the next morning and she went to [Scotland]. I thought it's all gone I've just destroyed it.'

But luckily, he was able to win the star round as he explained he sought out some roses to send to her along with a touching apology note.

Catherine and Michael then married in 2000, and have remained happily married despite their brief split in 2013.

'It’s a long road and I think people today are so quick to throw in the towel on marriage, Catherine told Good Housekeeping about the couple's problems in an interview last year. The actress has recently turned her hand from film to television, taking on the lead role of actress Olivia de Havilland in the new FX series Feud.

The anthology will be portraying the behind-the-scenes drama on set of 1962 classic film What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?, and is set to debut next year.
