Yards from danger... but can you see why? Woman doesn't realise she has cheated death until spotting hidden predator right in front of her when she checks her photograph
- A killer predator was lurking in the undergrowth in Madagascar - but the photographer had no idea
- The tourist only realised it was close by when she looked back at her pictures
The woman who took this photograph narrowly escaped the hidden danger here - but can you even spot what the danger is?
Photographer Julia Sundukova was exploring a national park in Andasibe, Madagascar.
At first glance the tropical scene looks devoid of animals and danger. However, a man-eating beast was watching her every move as she hiked through the wetland.
Can you see it? Lurking in the undergrowth is a blood thirsty predator known to attack and eat humans
The 37-year-old, from Russia, said it made her hair stand on end when she looked back at her photos and spotted the loitering predator - a crocodile.
The crocodile on show here is a Nile crocodile which are considered one of the most deadly animals to humans.
The beasts can reach up to a staggering 16ft 5 inches in length and can be found in swamps, rivers and lakes across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Now you see it! The beast was spotted in the photo after Julia flicked through her snaps at home
Julia said seeing the reptile's eye made her hair stand of end as she realised she was a few yards from a potentially fatal attack
Nile crocodiles are estimated to attack 245 to 745 humans per year with 63 percent of all attacks fatal.
Even smaller variants of species have been known to attack and devour human flesh.
As a result the reptile is believed to be one of the biggest animal threats to humans along with lions and venomous snakes.
In March 2015 a group of British tourists were enjoying a river boat cruise the Zambezi River, between Zambia and Zimbabwe, when they saw a Nile crocodile beast eating a human.
As the boat got closer they realised the crocodile had already eaten the man's upper body and was starting to bite into his legs.
