Tyga 'pays off $200k jewellery debt after being slapped with a lawsuit... as he saves girlfriend Kylie Jenner from facing a financial grilling'
Tyga has reportedly paid off the remainder of his $200k jewellery debt after being slapped with a new lawsuit.
According to TMZ, the rapper completed a final $100k payment as well as some interest to jeweller to the stars, Jason of Beverly Hills, after he won a judgement against Tyga.
The site also claims Jason's lawyers had planned to make girlfriend Kylie Jenner reveal details of her finances as part of their debtor's exam before the outstanding payment for a watch and chain bought in 2013 was resolved.
Getting things in order: Tyga has reportedly paid off the remainder of his $200k jewellery debt after being slapped with a lawsuit
MailOnline has contacted a spokesperson for Tyga for comment.
It's been a rocky week for the musician who was served with legal papers, the day before he turned 27 on Friday.
The Rack City hitmaker was celebrating at Penthouse nightclub in West Hollywood when a man appeared and handed over the new papers.
The process server was then forcibly removed from the venue, according to the site.
A relief: According to TMZ, the jewellers lawyers had planned to make girlfriend Kylie Jenner reveal details of her finances as part of their debtor's exam
It is unclear why Tyga - who is dating Kylie Jenner - had been served, but he has had a string of legal and financial battles over the last year.
In September, it was reported that Tyga's mother was at risk of getting her Range Rover repossessed after the rapper failed to keep up the $1,000-a-month repayments on the $60,000 Evoque model.
Previously, Tyga's own Ferrari was seemingly repossessed, while he was also the subject of the $200,000 jewellery lawsuit.
Tyga's repayments were due to be settled in debtor's examination last month.
However after just two hours of grilling, the 'Ayo' rapper asked for the questioning to end because he felt he was too sick to proceed.
The legal representative for the opposing party explained: 'Considering there are a number of documents we asked him to produce that he had not brought with him and the fact that we still have a lot more questions to ask, we have agreed for him to return with the documents on November 1 for the remainder of the examination.'
It wasn't all bad: The rapper got plenty of love from his girl on his big day last week
