He once earned a crust as a journeyman professional boxer.

And Mickey Rourke proved he still has an athlete's body as he flaunted his manly chest while out for lunch in Beverly Hills on Tuesday.

The muscular erotic movie legend looked like he was having a great time as he showed off his build as he headed from a meal at the trendy Cafe Roma eatery with some pals.

The 64-year-old Nine And A Half Weeks favourite was looking great for his age in a zip-up hooded top, which he playfully left partially unzipped, and trendy blue jeans.

He rounded off his look with a wonderfully bushy hairpiece and camouflage-patterned shoes.

Once famed for his pretty boy looks, Mickey's career in boxing and botched plastic surgery to repair the damage dramatically altered his appearance.

He previously admitted: ‘I had my nose broken twice. I had five operations on my nose and one on a smashed cheekbone.

‘I had to have cartilage taken from my ear to rebuild my nose and a couple of operations to scrape out the cartilage because the scar tissue wasn't healing properly.

'Most of it was to mend the mess of my face because of the boxing, but I went to the wrong guy to put my face back together.'

And just to pile on the agony, he said he was forced to undergo an even more excruciating procedure to solve another health problem.

Between 1991 and 1994 Mickey fought eight times, winning six and drawing two, however his opponents were mainly tomato cans.

He returned to the ring and won an exhibition fight by knockout in 2014, however his opponent later claimed he had been paid to throw the fight.
