'No mother should have to experience this': Courtney Stodden reveals pain of miscarriage in new PETA video

She suffered a devastating miscarriage while expecting her first child earlier this year.

And Courtney Stodden's emotions are still very raw as she speaks about a mother's love in a new video for animal welfare organisation PETA.

'The feeling of losing a child is one that no mother should ever have to experience,' the 22-year-old star begins in the clip which is part of PETA's campaign against SeaWorld.

'That's why it breaks my heart to think of Corky — an orca who has lost all seven of her babies, the last of whom was found floating lifeless at the bottom of a tank at SeaWorld.

The video was filmed shortly after Courtney's miscarriage and the emotion is clear her voice.

'Corky has endured the loss of family eight times, starting when she was forcibly taken from the ocean from her mother and sold into captivity when she was very young,

'The feeling of losing a child is one that no mother should ever have to experience,' Stodden began in the new campaign clip against SeaWorld

'It breaks my heart to think of Corky — an orca who has lost all seven of her babies, the last of whom was found floating lifeless at the bottom of a tank at SeaWorld'

'For 47 years, she has only known trauma, loss and sadness in captivity within the cramped, chemically treated confines of a concrete tank.' 

The reality star then pleads with SeaWorld to release Corky into a sanctuary where she can swim freely.

'SeaWorld, take it from someone who has experienced great personal loss. Corky has suffered enough,

'Please, do the right thing and let her go home. The time is now.'

Courtney and husband Doug Hutchison announced in May that they were expecting their first child together.

But less than two months later she suffered a miscarriage.

Her manager confirmed the miscarriage saying in a statement: 'It is with a heavy heart to inform you that last week Courtney Stodden suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage.

Courtney used a 'reborn' baby doll to help her come to terms with her loss over the summer

'Courtney and her husband, Doug, are at an emotional loss for words and are using this time to grieve with their close family and friends.

Sharing a video on Instagram, she wrote: 'Just received my reborn baby today! exciting i know it may seem a little strange but my therapist suggested that having him may help me cope with my loss. #rebornbaby [sic].' 

Courtney was 16 when she married twice-divorced Hutchison in May 2011 in Las Vegas.

They split in late 2013 but reconciled in August 2014.
