Belle of the Big Apple! Emma Watson looks effortlessly stylish as she steps out shopping in wintry NYC 

She plays Belle in the upcoming re-imagining of Beauty And The Beast.

And Emma Watson looked effortlessly lovely as she braved chilly New York on Monday to snap up some bargains in the stores.

The 26-year-old wrapped up in dark layers including a stylish winter coat, woolen beret and slate grey scarf.

Emma went makeup-free and added a casual touch to her outfit with some brown lace-up boots.

Feeling a bit peckish the actress stopped by a cafe and came out with a brown carry out bag of food during her jaunt. 

Emma - who rose to fame playing Hermione in the Harry Potter franchise - recently admitted to being nervous about singing in Beauty and the Beast.

The actress explained that whilst she was 'excited' to be given the iconic part, she was nervous about lending her voice to the role because she's been out of practice for so long.

Barefaced chic: Emma opted for very little makeup and gave her ensemble a casual edge with brown lace-up boots

She said: 'It's so crazy. I was so excited. It was nerve-wracking for me because I've sung as a child in plays and I loved it, but I just hadn't done it in such a long time, it was like learning to ride a bike again.'

Emma also said that she has remained down to earth over the years and she believes it is the result of not being 'swallowed' up by Hollywood.

She shared: 'I've made films that existed outside of Hollywood and that was really helpful in a way because I didn't get swallowed by the industry.' 

The British beauty stars in the upcoming live feature Beauty And The Beast alongside Luke Evans and Dan Stevens. 

The highly anticipated film hits theatres March 17.
