Part-time Students

Copy of New Court Facade evening

Graduates engaged on part-time degrees enjoy the full benefits of College facilities.  As well as making use of the College’s graduate campus at Leckhampton, part-time students are encouraged to use the Bachelors’ Parlour as their base on the central College site.

Tutorial

Part-time students have their own Graduate Tutor.

Keys

A key set is available from the Head Porter.

Meals

Meals may be taken in College and the relevant prices are those applying to full-time graduate students not paying Kitchen Fixed Charge.  Part-time students do not live in College and so pay no Kitchen Fixed Charge.

Overnight accommodation

If you occasionally wish to remain overnight at Leckhampton please email the Leckhampton Site Manager.  Availability varies throughout the year and adequate notice is essential.  Rooms are normally available for only one or two nights, although during the summer it may be possible to provide a room for longer.  On the occasions when you are invited to a formal College event, such as a Tutorial Dinner or the Commemoration Dinner, you will be entitled to free (single) accommodation overnight, if available.  However, you must request this facility when accepting the invitation; guest rooms cannot usually be provided at short notice.

Study weeks

On receipt of a written request, together with a supporting letter from your academic supervisor, the College will make available accommodation in a guest room for seven nights free of charge, once per annum.  This offer is subject to the availability of rooms and practical considerations mean that the Easter vacation and the period from July to early September are strongly favoured.  Applications should be made by email to the Graduate Administrator, giving as much notice and offering as much flexibility over dates as possible.

MSt students who are required to live in Cambridge for residential sessions will be accommodated at Leckhampton.
