Jennifer Lopez has hired Dancing With The Stars pro Derek Hough for her new competition show World Of Dance

Jennifer Lopez has found a co-star for her World Of Dance series.

The 47-year-old singer has hired Derek Hough to work with her on the NBC dance competition series which does not yet have a premiere date, according to Deadline.

This means the blonde dancer will be taking a break from his ABC series Dancing With The Stars.

Derek will be one of three judges on the series. Lopez and Ne-yo are the other two judges.  

The show is a 10-episode series from Universal Television Alternative Studio and Nuyorican Productions, which is Lopez's company.

Dancers will compete to win a grand prize of $1 million. A variety of dance styles will be used including hip-hop, krumping, popping, locking, tap, ballet, break dancing, ballroom and stomping.

'Jennifer, Derek and Ne-Yo are three of the most accomplished dancers of their generation, and their incredible insight from the judges table will be both inspiring and wholly constructive to the world-class level of dancers who are competing on the show,' said Meredith Ahr, President of Universal Television Alternative Studio. 

'We feel so very honored that the three of them are giving back to the dance community in this way.'

Derek can next be seen in December's Hairspray Live.

Meanwhile, Lopez is continuing to shoot her NBC cop drama Shades Of Blue and she will also appear in Las Vegas in December for her All I Have show.
