The infamous couple reportedly signed a six-figure deal to return to Celebrity Big Brother in the upcoming Gold Stars vs All Stars series.

So it's no wonder Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt were all smiles as they got into the yuletide spirit early on Monday while in her hometown of Crested Butte, Colorado.

The MTV Hills vets cut down their own Christmas tree with a hand saw and enjoyed a day of fun as they playfully frolicked in the snow.

The reality television stars - collectively nicknamed 'Speidi' - bundled up for their outing in the freezing cold.

Heidi, 30, was a picture perfect snow bunny in white fuzzy earmuffs, leopard print trousers and pretty blue puffer coat.

Spencer donned a red and white Santa's hat, black North Face winter jacket and brown snow boots.

Despite the frigid temperatures, the couple made sure to take time out for a few selfies.

Heidi and Spencer, 33 - whose relationship played out on the hit MTV show - began dating in 2007 and the couple married in April 2009.

It was announced recently that the couple reportedly signed the hefty deal to return to the hit Channel 5 show, according to The Sun.

In 2013 the public watched Spencer and Heidi slam their fellow contestants, with a special emphasis on their biggest foe Rylan Clark-Neal.

Each day 'Speidi' seemed to be aggravating their fellow housemates by not performing in tasks, showing two-faced behaviour and inappropriate PDAs.
