Kim appeared to be alone in the luxury SUV despite her trauma at being robbed at gunpoint in Paris two months ago.

It was that incident that has been giving Kanye nightmares, according to some published reports this week, exacerbating his depression and anxiety that came with the ninth year anniversary of his mother Donda's death.

Donda died at the age of 58 after suffering complications from elective surgery. Her funeral was November 20 - the same day Kanye cancelled his show at the L.A. Forum, and the following day he cancelled the rest of his tour and was later taken to the hospital.

The 39-year-old has been hospitalized for a week after reportedly going without sleep and acting 'paranoid and psychotic and struggling to identify what was real'.

By his side: Kim had been set to attend the Angel Ball in NYC when she was told the rapper had suffered a 'psychotic breakdown' and immediately turned around and headed back to LA

Mystery: Kim's black SUV was spotted arriving at UCLA Medical Center despite reports earlier that Kanye had left the hospital and returned home to his family

Earlier on Wednesday, TMZ reported, citing agency X17, that the Famous rapper had left UCLA Medical Center having been released to the care of his physician Dr. Michael Farzam and was back home with his family.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Kanye's reps for comment.

However, his release does not mean he will be imminently returning to work. Sources tell TMZ that all concerts are cancelled indefinitely and there is not set date for his return to the stage.

Also Wednesday, new reports surfaced about the state of the relationship between Kanye and Kim.

The couple started dating in 2012 and wed in May 2014. They have two children, North, three, and Saint, who turns one on December 5.

Troubled: On Wednesday, USWeekly claimed that Kim and Kanye's marriage had hit a rocky patch and the couple were fighting in the weeks leading up to the Famous artist's breakdown

UsWeekly has claimed Kim and Kanye were fighting in the weeks leading up to his breakdown, with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star feeling like she couldn't lean on the 'workaholic' rapper following her Paris ordeal.

'It's just been hell for them,' a source told the publication.

The hitmaker had apparently become 'unbearable' to live with and the duo, who share a 11,000 sq ft Bel Air home together, were fighting a lot.

Fights: The couple, who wed in May 2014 and have two children, are said to have been finding it hard to deal with Kim's Paris robbery and the ninth anniversary of Kanye's mother's death

'He would be up all night ranting about things,' said the insider who added that Kanye 'unraveled' when he realized he can't do it all.

'He'd be up drawing, writing and sketching, or pacing and doing push-ups. he would not calm down and go to bed.'

Things reportedly came to a head when Kanye's on-stage rants became increasingly worrying and controversial, ending one of his concerts after just three songs.

In Sacramento, California, the rapper launched into a 15-minute tirade attacking friend Beyonce and begging Jay Z to call him before walking off stage.

Two days later, he canceled his remaining Saint Pablo tour dates.

'She didn't know if she could take it anymore, and this time she refused to support him,' a source close to Kim revealed.

At the time of Kanye's breakdown, the selfie queen was planning her first public appearance since the jewelry heist at the Angel Ball in New York to honor her late father Robert.

As she left for the east coast, Kim informed her husband that she needed a break and told him she didn't want to talk to him, according to Us Weekly.

A source said Kim felt like Kanye had bailed on her and that 'she felt like she needed him to be stable and her rock instead of the other way around.'

However, she immediately turned around after landing in NYC and returned home to the West Coast after being told of Kanye's hospitalization.
