'It's a feast of vitriol': Sarah Jessica Parker reveals on why she won't return to 'mean-spirited' Twitter as she poses for chic fashion shoot
She feverishly wrote her innermost thoughts as columnist Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City.
But Sarah Jessica Parker says she doesn't have the thick skin required for Twitter, after quitting the social media network.
The 51-year-old star told January's InStyle magazine: 'I don’t have the constitution for Twitter. It’s a boneyard, a feast of vitriol. I just don’t want to participate in it.'

Blossom into floral prints with Dolce & Gabbana
Sarah Jessica Parker is a fashion tour de force-- she's been a style icon for over a decade, a perfumer, shoe designer and not to mention a fixture at the Met Ball year after year.
So of course InStyle chose to feature her on the cover of their January issue looking blooming beautiful in a Dolce & Gabbana floral print gown.
It's hard to imagine it now that we're in the frostiest part of winter, but Spring will come soon and with that a whole new need to freshen up your wardrobe with some dewy prints and colors.

She added that she prefers the photo-sharing app, Instagram, as she finds it a kinder environment.
'On Instagram people tend to be more civilized. And they can disagree and have objections, but I don’t find it as mean-spirited a community.'
She posed for the cover in a stunning rose print tea-dress and diamond earrings.
The Hocus Pocus star explained that before she could afford expensive clothes, she would find outfits in second-hand stores
The fashion-forward beauty surprisingly confessed she's not a fan of retail therapy, and prefers to have clothes on loan for events.
'I dress based on what I have. I’m not a huge shopper, but I love beautiful things. To be able to borrow them is ridiculously fortunate, and I enjoy every second of that.
'I have a pretty standard wardrobe, though I’ve got wonderful shoes. That’s more so the case now. I genuinely don’t know what people think of me or want from me.'
Despite her own strong marriage of 19-years, SJP now stars in HBO's Divorce, and says she has enjoyed exploring the tricky character of Frances
The Hocus Pocus star explained that before she could afford expensive clothes, she would find outfits in second-hand stores.
She told the magazine her style influences as a young woman were 'street imagery and girls on the subway more than anything. I was like, "How can I do that? How can I afford to do that? What’s my version of that?"
'Honestly, thrift stores played such a huge part in my life before Sex and the City. And, of course, my mom was the biggest influence. She had pretty firm ideas about how we would dress.'
The mother-of-three, who shares her 14-year-old son James and seven-year-old twin girls Marion and Tabith with husband Matthew Broderick, says she helps her children understand their fame by being a good example.
'We talk about it with the kids to the degree that they want to, but we don’t do it unsolicited…Like any parent, I just try to be present, pay attention, ask questions, and then allow them the freedom to monitor themselves.
'Hopefully, they’ll live by our example. It’s hard, because you want to give them freedom, but as a parent you have to be willing to not be liked by your child sometimes.'
Despite her own strong marriage of 19-years, SJP now stars in HBO's Divorce, and says she has enjoyed exploring the tricky character of Frances.
'It’s taken me a long time to find anybody who I thought had as much potential as [Sex and the City’s] Carrie Bradshaw, who was as complicated, human, layered, and objectionable yet understandable, relatable yet foreign.
'People think she [Carrie] was a second skin for me, but she wasn’t. I didn’t know her at first. She was different from me as anybody I’d ever played or known. So I feel like Frances is equally as interesting and unknown to me.'
