If scrolling through your Instagram feed has left with you a sense of déjà vu (and an inexplicable urge to visit Morocco) you’re not alone.

Forget posing by the Eiffel tower or gazing out to sea wistfully in Santorini, there is one photo opportunity that is driving the bloggersphere into meltdown right now.

From glamorous fashion bloggers to social media stars, online influencers are making a pilgrimage to take snaps - most often from above - of the same dreamy swimming pool in the heart of a Marrakech riad and post them to Instagram.

Whether guests are sprawled out by the pool, which has Berber symbols on the bottom, or floating on its water, most images of the courtyard are taken from above to make the most of its pleasing aesthetic

Palm trees offer shade over the enticing turquoise plunge pool, which is framed by cool white geometric tiles and stripy sunbeds.

It opened in 2002, but the photogenic qualities of its plunge pool only became apparent earlier this month when a blogger, Lauren Bullen (Gypsea_lust), accused another woman, Diana Alexa, of copying her.

Both published almost identical pictures of the pool.

In explaining the popularity of their tiny hideaway among the jetset, Tassery said it’s ‘relaxing, calm, zen'

In explaining the popularity of their tiny hideaway among the jetset, Tassery told Mashable that it’s ‘relaxing, calm, zen'.

She told the website: 'The symbol inside the pool represents the Amazigh symbol which means free man, the land and the language.

'And it is part of the charm of the riad.'
