And Ashley Graham, 28, has revealed that despite being celebrated for her curves and breaking the size 0 stereotype, she resents the term 'plus-sized'.

The stunning brunette discussed her reservations about the labels why she loves her figure and her difficult path to success in the January issue of British Vogue.

She told the magazine: 'When we’re supposed to be talking about diversity for women, it feels so divisive and purpose-defeating, giving us yet another label.'

Posing for top photographer Patrick Demarchelier, Ashley looks sensational in the accompanying images, exuding confidence as she poses in a military style jumpsuit.

The striking star, who famously became Sports Illustrated's first-ever curvy cover girl in the spring, also opened up about her weight to the publication.

Explaining that she used to wish she was thinner, Ashley revealed she has fully embraced her womanly shape and enviable assets these days.

'Do I sometimes wish I were thinner? God, in the old days, absolutely I did, but now I feel that to lose weight would be disloyal to myself.

'A lot of who I am is connected to my size, and I am so happy with who I am.'

Ashley discussed the perils of making it in high fashion becauyse of her size, explaining that she has worked hard to book jobs.

'For 10 years I’d been told I was always going to be a catalogue girl, never a cover girl', she said.

'Well, I got with IMG and did five covers in a year, boom, boom, boom. See, if you have a pretty face doors will open, but your job isn’t just to walk through them, it’s to get invited back.

'Look, I hit the beauty jackpot, I get it, but that’s not enough, you’ve got to have more to have longevity in this business. It’s always been, "OK, so what can I do now?"'
