To get fit, healthy and toned, you've got to run or break a sweat doing some form of cardiovascular exercise, right?

Wrong. Just ask health and fitness social media star and mum of four, Sophie Guidolin, 27, whose physique is thanks to avoiding cardio, eating however many calories she likes and working out three or four times a week.

Taking to Instagram, Ms Guidolin, from Queensland, revealed her incredibly honed figure in a split photo, just one year after giving birth to her twins.

Fitness social media star and mum of four, Sophie Guidolin, 27 (pictured), said she does no cardio to be in the shape she is in, and doesn't restrict her calorie intake

The 27-year-old from Queensland only gave birth to twins last year, but is already back training and working out three to four times a week

'At the moment... I am training 3-4 days a week, mostly early mornings before the kids wake up,' she said.

'I am NOT doing any cardio (Don't have time and nutrition controls my body fat),' Ms Guidolin continued.

As well as this, the Queensland gym owner also said she isn't 'restricting any calories'.

Instead, she eats 'intuitively', which has made her 'currently leaner than I have ever competed'.

According to Ms Guidolin, rather than counting calories, she 'eats intuitively'; the gym owner took to her Instagram page to post about this

Sophie Guidolin was slammed for documenting her fit pregnancy on social media previously, as she continued to lift heavy weights while expecting

From weight training to Pilates and regular walks, the 27-year-old decided to keep exercising, even in her final trimester (pictured)

Sophie Guidolin made headlines when she lifted 30 kilogram weights while expecting her twins in 2015.

The fitness guru documented her 'fit pregnancy' on social media, drawing equal measures of criticism and praise for lifting heavy weights and choosing to follow a strict pregnancy workout plan.

From weight training to Pilates and regular walks, the 27-year-old decided to keep exercising, even in her final trimester.

Her reasoning was that she needed to approach diet and exercise differently to how she had when she was previously pregnant.

When Ms Guidolin was expecting her first child, she struggled with anaemia, serious fluid retention, weak and frail legs and a weak core.

'With the twins, my nutrition knowledge was so much better so I knew how to nourish my body (and babies!) to assist with pregnancy and my body's recovery postpartum,' the fitness star previously posted on Instagram
