Feline festive! Adorable videos show tabby cats dressing up as Santa Claus, pirates and policemen

  • Tabbies Joey and Morrison parade their fancy dress to the camera
  • Joey dresses as a 'serious cop' and Morrison as both a pirate and Santa
  • Facebook users have loved the clips, cooing over the adorable pets

The sure fire way to make people coo over your pet is it to dress it up in an adorable outfit.

An Australian cat owner loves putting her moggies in funny clothes so much she has entire Instagram and Facebook pages dedicated to the pets which are dressed up as everything from policemen to Santa Claus.

Hilarious videos show Jennifer Stewart's tabbies, Joey and Morrison, parading their fancy dress to the camera - sometimes with nonchalance and sometimes with infectious enthusiasm.

In the clips on Stewart's cat-dedicated Facebook page, My Furry Babies, Morrison - described as 'naughty' - can be seen dressed up as Father Christmas.

'This is THE BEST video ever! Makes me laugh every time,' one Facebook viewer commented on the clip. 'I am in hysterics... Christmas made!' another wrote.

In another video  - a throwback to when Morrison was younger - he takes a turn as a pirate wearing a shirt and brown waistcoat and a cocked hat boasting a skull and crossbones.

Morrison crouches in the garden before bounding towards the camera and his owner.  Stuffed arms comically flap at the side as he trots forwards.

Meanwhile the less energetic Joey takes his job as a 'policeman' very seriously as he sits on a chair wearing a full feline cop uniform, complete with a navy hat

'Serious cop Joey. On street patrol lots of strange going ons today,' Stewart captioned the video.

And indeed the cat appears to eye up the area studiously, on the look out for any touble-makers.

'He can patrol my home anytime, so cute,' one Facebook user commented on the clip, 'I'd stay away from this cop. He looks like a mean one,' another joked.
