'I learned everything from Alexis': David Arquette remembers transgender activist sibling and reveals his family is planning a new foundation
Alexis Arquette passed away from a heart attack back on September 11th at the age of 47, leaving behind siblings David, Rosanna, Richmond and Patricia.
And now brother David is speaking out about how the loss has affected his family.
The 45-year-old Scream star opened up to People about about the tough time while attending The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation and SAG-AFTRA World Aids Day Panel event in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

'[My family and I] are doing alright. Things like that, in the best case scenario, bring families closer together,' he said referring to his sibling's untimely death, before adding, 'it definitely did.'
He then revealed that his sister Rosanna, 57, has actually been inspired by the unfortunate events.
'Rosanna is really spearheading a foundation for Alexis which we're going to announce soon, the next few days,' stated the Eight Legged Freaks actor.

David also acknowledged the huge impact his trans sister had on his development.
'I learned everything from Alexis,' he began, before launching into all of the various ways in which she enriched his life
'I learned art. I learned comedy. I learned how to be real, to be honest. I learned acceptance, which was a big theme in general. I learned to be myself and own who you are — be true to you.'

After Alexis passed away, the Arquette family released a joint statement via Facebook explaining the situation.
'Our brother Robert, who became our brother Alexis, who became our sister Alexis, who became our brother Alexis, passed this morning September 11, at 12:32 am,' posted brother Richmond.
'He was surrounded by all of his brothers and sisters, one of his nieces and several other loved ones. We were playing music for him and he passed during David Bowie's Starman. As per his wishes, we cheered at the moment that he transitioned to another dimension.'
